Chapter 25
Promises are only as strong as the person who gives them...
- Stephen RichardsSleeping didn't come easily last night. I was trying to figure out a way to take down Jacob, and it worked out for everybody. One plan kept coming to mind all throughout the night, but I knew the guys wouldn't like it. I watched Ace slowly wake up, while debating if I should tell the guys anyway, or just throw it away.
I mean, if executed perfectly, then we might have a chance on winning.
Or, it will end up in a major disaster and I'll lose both my freedom and my friends/soon to be boyfriend.
But if we don't try it, then we will never know if that was the better choice or not.
Alright, I'll tell them, but I don't know how they will take it.
Sighing after my mental conversation, I realize that Ace is staring at me. Almost in a daze. "What? Is something wrong?" I ask him, my guard going up and I become very aware of my surroundings. Looking back at him, he slowly shakes his head while smiling.
"No, just when I woke up, you looked so deep in thought, that I didn't want to ruin it. Now the question I should be asking is, did you get any sleep last night?" He asks concerned, looking at my, probably, pronounced eye bags under my eyes. I softly smile at him. "Not really. My mind kept running through different ideas and plans we could do and see if they would work out." My smile dropped saying this. He frowns along with me.
"You think of any plan that would help your problem?" He asks, sitting up and wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer to him. I shake my head slightly. "I found one, that I think will work better than the rest, but I'll tell you with the rest of the boys." I say, getting out of his hold and making my way to my clothes to grab some before I head to the bathroom, to take a shower and freshen up. I felt his stare on me the whole time I was gathering my clothes before, finally walking out of the room.
Taking a shower wasn't so relaxing and stress-relieving as it always is. I sigh as I turn off the hot water and grab the towel hanging on the railing outside the shower. I dry myself off and put on my clothes, grey sweatpants and a loose-fitting short sleeved shirt. I put my hair up in a messy bun and walk out, carrying the clothes I sleep with and throw them in my room.
Getting downstairs, I hear all the guys up, probably wrestling each other for food. Getting into the kitchen, I see just that. Zack and Jay are fighting over the last piece of hash brown. Lee is staring, intently, at a piece of crepe that was just placed there by Ace. Ace was the only one not fighting over food, only because he was making it.
Getting into the room, the boys stop and stare at me, then at the food they were fighting over. "Do I have to fight you for some hash browns too?" Zack asks, as if fighting another person will be the death of him. "No, you two can go back to fighting over that food. I'm going to go make myself some food." I say pointing where Ace was. I knew he could hear what I was saying, but he had his back turned towards me.
"It's alright. Just tell me what you want and I'll make it." Ace says, turning around and placing some scrambled eggs on the table. Immediately, someone takes a big scoop of it, taking at least 3/4's of the eggs away.
"No, I want to make them. Then no one will try to take my food." I say turning to look at the guys sitting at the table. They all stop eating and smile at me, knowing I know what was going to happen if Ace made me food and placed it down on the table. "Alright. If you want, then you can cook next to me. I'm almost done cooking what these guys wanted, so I'll be out of here in a few minutes, at least." Ace says, turning around to make his last dish he was preparing this morning.
