Fubuki Sumiye: The Escape from Dread Tower (Book 2)(Completed)

Ep 18: Group Battle! The Battle Royale!

The next morning Fubuki woke up early, so early that it was still dark out. But he didn't mind, last night had been one of the best nights of sleep he had gotten.

So in return he practiced his strength and stamina. Throwing rocks or just doing anything to keep his mind off of the Dread Tower.

Then by the time the sun came up Fubuki felt ready. Packing up his camp Fubuki left ready for what was behind the doors.

The torches were lit even though it was morning. Knights in armor were on either side of the door. In ominous unison the said: "Welcome to the Dread Tower."

The large cement door went up letting Fubuki in. For a split second Fubuki hesitated standing in the doorway. But then looking back at his camp he went in.

The first room Fubuki walked into was a large room with staircases on either side. The staircases had a red carpet going up to the next floor. A bey stadium was in the center and signs were pointing up the stairs.

Following the signs Fubuki made his way to another wing of the Dread Tower. But he ended up getting lost, as he went through the rooms the way they were set up were weird. Rooms that Aiger Akabane went through were set up like a museum. With film clips or other pieces of information.

Then as Fubuki was looking around in Evel's lab there were some intriguing papers. Papers about Free De La Hoya and his power levels and other information.

"Lost?"

Fubuki whipped around face to face with Dr. Evel. He gave Fubuki a frown and a bored look.

"Uh yeah I was looking for the bathroom."

"Follow me."

Evel turned back around gesturing to Fubuki to follow. Fubuki followed from behind feeling like he was going to the principal's office.

Fubuki walked onto the dark stage standing with some other bladers that were chatting. The place was vaguely familiar but Fubuki concluded this was were Valt challenged Hyde to the champion title.

"Welcome to the Phoenix Trials! I'm your host Senior Hanami! We're here at the Dread Tower or the Dark Citadel to start things off. In this tournament the Top 3 bladers will have the chance to challenge the champion: Phi!"

Up in the stands Phi was leaning against the wall while the spotlight shone on him.

"But first I'd like to introduce our roster of bladers competing for the title! First things first we our fan favorite Valt Aoi!"

The spotlight under Valt lit up along with his smile.

"Aiger Akabane!"

"Boa Alcazaba!"

"Valerie Bates!"

"Vincent Bates!"

"Xavier Bogard."

"Blindt DeVoy!"

"Kyle Hakim!"

"Pheng Hope!"

"Ranjiro Kiyama!"

"Drum Koryu!"

"Joe Lazure!"

"Kit Lopez!"

"Hae Jin Oh!"

"Fubuki Sumiye!"

"And Laban Vanot!"

There were also some other background bladers competing too.

"Oh what's this?!"

All the spotlights shut off and changed to directions to one of the entrances.

The fire on either side lit up and a purple blue came running out. Flipping into the air the blader stuck the landing. Standing up Hyde pushed back his hair.

"It's the Dread Towers' very own Dark Prince: Hyde!"

"Huh hah!"

Hyde walked over to the circle of bladers standing next to Laban.

"And there you have it! The Phoenix Trials have officially begun! Let's kick things off with a battle Royale!"

The Solar Stadium in the middle stage went down startling surrounding bladers. And instead in its place was a Solar stadium. Now unlike the small 9 blader stadium this one was large fitting 16 bladers.

Each blader took their place either by standing next to their friends or by finding a spot to battle.

Fubuki stood next to Aiger and Ranjiro.

Fubuki thought back to the battle Royale on the battle cruise ship. Except this time was different, there were bladers here Fubuki had never even heard of until today.

"3, 2, 1! Let it rip!"

Beys were sent flying everywhere making it hard for Fubuki to keep track of Forenous.

Ranjiro and Hyde fought over the middle which resulted in Ranjiro being bursted. Hades took up the center.

Other beys like Achilles and Xcalius were duking it out while others were on the deck below.

Since there were so many beys some were easily knocked out like Harmony Pegasus or Hazard Kerbeus. Fubuki made sure to keep out of the way sticking to the outer rim.

Kit bursted Hae Jin and Joe sending them both out of the running.

At this point Valerie, Aiger, Vincent, Valt, Fubuki, Hyde, Drum, and Boa were still in.

Hades got Balkesh and Drum while Aiger took out Venatrix.

"Go Achilles!"

"Take him out Forenous!"

Achilles collided with Forenous in a storm of energy. It was ironic because being on the battleship cruise Fubuki remembered fighting Aiger when he was corrupted. Now the opposite was true.

Forenous was locked head and head with Achilles. A dark aura surrounded Fubuki and Aiger was taken aback.

Aiger amped up his power bursting Forenous.

Fubuki's power died down leaving some bladers questioning Fubuki's dark power. Meanwhile Aiger, Hyde and Valt were battling in the center.

Valtryek bursted Hades but Achilles flew out of the stadium.

Fubuki had a feeling those two were going to have a rematch later.

"The last bey standing is Valtryek! Valt Aoi is the winner of the Battle Royale!"

The crowd went crazy for Valt.

"Hey Fubuki, you did a good job. I thought you almost had me for a minute."

"Thanks Aiger."

Fubuki gave Aiger a fist bump.

After the battle the boys decided to make a pact along with Ranjiro and Aiger to stick together and make it to the final round.

Sorry if the chapter wasn't the most descriptive or good I was in a writing slump when I wrote this so it made it harder but have a good day and I hope you guys enjoyed it!
