The second battle Fubuki's power was growing and Blindt was getting interested.

The corruption was starting to take form and bladers were surprised.

The second battle Fubuki's eyes were glowing a determined red while Blindt's were an amused blue.

"There it is, go even further."

Blindt took out a sketchbook, pencil and blending stump. Using his wrist and hand motions he drew aggressively making pencil strokes.

It took him a couple of minutes but when the sketch was done he showed it to Fubuki.

On the pad of paper was a terrifying Shark. It's once beautiful blue hues were now a dark navy and black color. To contrast its dark appearance its eyes were glowing golden. Everything about it gave off a terrifying vibe.

But the sketch didn't phase Fubuki, he was more focused on the battle than anything else.

"You're holding back aren't you?" Blindt asked.

That caught Fubuki off guard, he was holding back. At this point he was barely in control and it was showing. But if he went further he didn't know if we would be able to stop.

Holding out his launcher Fubuki made his choice. He was going to have to push himself in order to survive.

"Ahhhhh!"

Fubuki's aura flowed even darker and so did his eyes. Blindt got the message.

"Finally I'll meet what I saw in my sketch."

"3..."

"2..."

"1...."

"Let it rip!"

Fubuki launched and so did Blindt.

As Forenous attacked, Balkesh Fubuki started zoning out. His eyes were completely transfixed on Forenous and he seemed to lose track of time.

At this point Fubuki was so focused he couldn't hear anything or anyone. Except for the sounds of clashing.

In the background Blindt was taunting Fubuki by telling everyone how Fubuki was slowly being corrupted.

But Fubuki didn't hear any of that, instead he felt like a ghost. Watching from afar while his body did all the work.

Forenous was starting to slow down and so was Balkesh. Hitting Balkesh Forenous kept going for a bit longer, beating Balkesh.

Picking up Forenous, Blindt was smiling at Fubuki. He ignored it, putting Forenous into his launcher. Now all he had to do was burst Balkesh.

The third battle began with Forenous taking the center instead. This time Balkesh was attacking while Forenous was on offense.

"Tsunami Crash."

Using Balkesh's power to his advantage Forenous came crashing down onto Balkesh. Balkesh was sent back but it came back at Forenous.

"Dusk Circle."

A perfect circle formed around Balkesh and the bit beast rose behind it.

Fubuki got the message summoning Forenous.

"Ultra Tsunami Crash."

Sending Balkesh into the air a couple of seconds later it bursted while Forenous was still spinning.

Blindt was satisfied grabbing the pieces of Balkesh. The trap door gave out and Blindt fell down the chute.

His sketch though on the other hand was on the floor where he once was. Grabbing the sketch Fubuki walked off stage.

After the battle Fubuki was let go from his trance. He realized what he had become and the drawing didn't help. It felt like it was taunting him or annoying him.

Walking out from the stage Fubuki bumped into Phi.

"Nice battle." He said walking off.

"Phi?"

Phi turned around, Fubuki's eyes were glowing and a dark aura was surrounding him.

This only pleased Phi.

"You're afraid aren't you?" Phi asked.

"Yes, how do I get rid of this?"

"Have you ever considered that this is what I want Fubuki?"

Fubuki was taken aback at this question.

"Besides what do you think happens to all those fallen bladers? Blindt, Kyle, Ranjiro?"

"The only way to get rid of it is to survive."

Phi walked off leaving a startled Fubuki behind.

Fubuki wanted to keep talking to Phi but instead he walked off with the question still lingering in his mind: Why would Phi be Silver Eye?

******

It was late at night and Fubuki couldn't sleep or maybe he didn't want to. He had too much on his mind. Also the constant nightmares didn't help either.

Climbing out of bed Fubuki got dressed and grabbed a flashlight.

Slowly opening his door he looked back at the clock. It was about midnight and the hallways were dead quiet.

Looking around, Fubuki ran, sticking to the shadows. Making sure none of the knights saw him Fubuki made his way to his favorite spot.

Opening the door Fubuki made his way up the stairs.

It was a crisp cool night and the stars were shining bright in the sky. The full moon also made an appearance shining the brightest.

It was so bright it casted Fubuki's shadow over the stadium.

But there was another shadow, Vincent.

"Oh hey Vincent I didn't see you there did you need something?"

"No I just figured I'd check on you."

"Why? Did Valt tell you to? Is he worried?"

"No I'm worried Fubuki do you even remember what you looked like in your battle with Blindt?"

"No."

Vincent pulled up the battle footage on his phone. Fubuki didn't say anything because he knew what this already meant.

"How much longer do you think I have?"

"Not sure I'd guess a little over a week before you're...."

"Gone?"

"Yeah."

Fubuki sat down dangling his legs over the edge.

"You know it's funny how simple everything was and now it feels so complicated. Blading used to be fun but now it's just feels like survival."

"But Fubuki, just because things change doesn't mean blading has to. We can still have fun."

"But you don't get it Vincent, when you lose you get set down the chute. Do you know how terrifying that is?"

"No I do not but you can't focus on losing. Losing wasn't even a word to Free De La Hoya."

"Free De La Hoya...I wonder what happened to him. It almost reminds me of Shu, the way he just went missing."

"Yeah, at least you don't have an evil sibling who's working with Phi and Theodore."

"Well I can play that game, at least you don't have two former possessed friends."

"Yeah."

For the rest of the night the boys sat in silence and after a while they eventually went to bed.

But what Fubuki didn't notice was his shadow was in the shape of Forenous and surrounding it was corrupted energy.
