The next morning it was a beautiful sunny day. The mood was relaxed and happy.
This morning's battle started off with Valt and Drum. A good pairing.
Valt was very encouraging and nice to Drum even when he was struggling and Drum was having a good time.
Valt easily won by bursting Drum's Air Knight but that only inspired him to make his own bey. In fact now that some people knew about the trap door they managed to escape. Like when Drum and Valt's battle was all done Drum ran over hugging Valt not going down the chute.
After the battle Drum promised to meet Valt at BC Sol. After escaping the trap doors Drum fled the castle in pursuit of BC Sol.
It was nice to see Valt inspiring other bladers, it also reminded Fubuki of Shu in a way.
Valt moved onto the next round and things got quiet.
Too quiet, Fubuki was running out of time and he was beginning to feel the stress. He needed the cure but he didn't know how to fix his situation. But he did have an idea.
As everyone was hanging out eating lunch Fubuki slipped away to go explore. The first day Fubuki got there he really wanted to explore but Evel stopped him.
Then Fubuki explored with Valt, Aiger and Ranjiro. All they saw was a battle and Theodore call Phi Silver Eye.
Fubuki didn't believe that was Diago but he didn't want to rain on Valt's parade. The way he battled didn't look like Diago's style either.
And Fubuki only knew because at one point, curiously he was looking at Shu's old friends and their battles.
But what Fubuki wanted to figure out was why was Phi Silver Eye?
One of the many mysteries of the Snake Pit was: Who was Silver Eye?
Gold Eye turned out to Norman, Yellow Eye was Richard, and Ashtem was Theodore. The other bladers like Azure eye or Gray Eye didn't really matter as much. But Silver Eye was second in command next to Gold Eye.
But Phi being Silver Eye made since, in a way. His eyes weren't silver but he did have silvery hair and that would explain how he would know Theodore. But Fubuki couldn't help but feel like there was more to the story than meets the eye.
Walking around Fubuki eventually decided to go to Evel's Lab.
Evel was a scientist so it would make sense since he would have information on different subjects and possibly his corruption.
Walking through another dark doorway the place was starting to remind him of Zelda. All the doorways and little passages, it was starting to look the same.
But eventually after taking a couple of wrong turns and being chased by the creepy knights Fubuki found Evel's lab.
Walking in it was a small room, there were two floors. On was Evel's desk and on the bottom was the Solar Stadium.
Luckily for Fubuki Evel wasn't there so that gave him free reign over exploring.
Sure the boys made a pact to not explore but that didn't mean Fubuki couldn't explore by himself.
Digging through the desk Fubuki found some things like old beys, schematics, or old papers. The most interesting thing Fubuki found was old bey schematics for Requiem.
But that was about it, there wasn't anything gripping though. It was almost a let down for Fubuki.
Looking around Fubuki eventually left walking back to the training room. Walking through the hallways Fubuki heard the sound of clanking armor.
Running in the other direction Fubuki looked around for any escape. Stopping to take a break he leaned against the wall catching his breath. Except it wasn't a wall.
His hand went through the wall and losing his balance so did he. He fell down a set of stairs to the basement. Or at least a part of the basement.
While staying at the Dread Tower everyone was very strict on where you could and couldn't go. Making Fubuki feel like a prisoner.
Going down the stairs Fubuki couldn't find the lights so instead he turned on his flashlight.
He knew the Dread Tower was large but he didn't know it was that large.
Or maybe that's just what they want you to think.
Reaching the bottom, Fubuki finally found the light switch.
The lights turned on one by one. Jail cells with bones were all in a line. On either side of the hallway.
This only proved it that there was something more sinister going on. The trap doors, the strictness, and now these jail cells. Theodore and Phi were imprisoning bladers and the tournament was just a cover up.
But what Fubuki was still wondering was what exactly they were doing with these bladers.
After looking around at the jail cells Fubuki had more questions than answers.
After going back up the stairs Fubuki felt so lost but after walking around Fubuki noticed the hallways seemed quieter than usual.
Going to the Dread Tower arena everyone was cheering. Stepping over people, Fubuki sat down next to Valt.
On stage Kit and Xavier were in their last battle each one already had two points.
They were locked head and head battling it out. Their auras inchasing them and bit beasts battling.
They were both evenly matched and neither one of them wanted to give up.
Then that's when the burst was heard. The pieces of Air Knight were laying in the stadium while Xcalius was still spinning.
Just as the trap door gave out and Kit was about to fall through. But being the hero he is Xavier pushed Kit out of the way.
"Noooooooo."
Xavier fell down the chute with a smile on his face while Kit was standing beneath his demise.
After the battle was over Fubuki met up with Valt in his room.
"Hey, Valt we to talk."
Sorry if this chapter wasn't that interesting, schools starting in a couple of days it's been hard to focus on writing.
