Ep 19: The Secrets of the Dread Tower! Part 1

Sticking together did not last long because right after making their pact some servants came around showing bladers to their quarters.

Fubuki's servant was one of the knights like all the other bladers. They were silent and only responded with hand or head motions.

They were also very forceful like when the Knight was leading Fubuki to his suite he grabbed his hand and dragged him.

"Your suite, Master Fubuki."

The knight's voice was deep but you could tell it was deeper than it should be like it was disguised.

The Knight opened one of the double doors. It was a large room with a circular carpet with waves. The whole room had a tranquil calming mood.

There was a large bed on one side and a desk on the other. It wasn't a very big room but the vaulted ceilings helped with that. There was also a balcony with no one else around.

Fubuki did wonder if everyone else's rooms were as nice. Setting down his bag, Fubuki laid down on the bed relaxing.

Across the bed was a TV set up with video games. But the best part wasn't the room or the balcony. It was a picture above his desk. A picture of him and Shu on the first day he met him.

After settling in Fubuki was brought dinner by one of the servants. It was strange staying at the Dread Tower.

You'd think it would be a scary place but if there were rooms like this it didn't feel that bad. But that wasn't the only strange thing, the way Fubuki was being treated made him feel like a prisoner.

Except that the doors weren't locked and he could leave whenever he wanted. But the way the knight dragged him or when the servant brought him dinner made him feel like he was a prisoner.

But what was even stranger than that was the whole place. Like the way the cafeteria was fit for many people or all the stadiums or rooms. The way the place was structured almost reminded Fubuki of the Bulls in a way. Almost like a team was practicing at the Dread Tower at one point.

But the question was what happened to that team? And Fubuki didn't want to find out.

Just then someone knocked on Fubuki's door.

Fubuki wasn't expecting anyone considering it was after dinner and Evel mentioned something earlier about a curfew.

Opening one of the doors was Ranjiro, Aiger and Valt.

"Yo what up!"

The group came into Fubuki's room, as Fubuki was closing the door he looked around making sure nobody saw them.

"Man Fubuki you have some nice digs." said Captain looking around.

"I know his room is so much better than mine! I mean even his bed is better and he has a balcony! I only have a window." Aiger mentioned lying on his bed.

"Alright does anyone have any ideas on exploring this place?" Fubuki asked

"We could always sneak through the vents." Ranjiro suggested.

"I've got a better idea, one that doesn't involve being watched." Valt made his way to the exit.

Just like Fubuki Valt made sure nobody else was around including the flying cameras.

"Follow me."

The herd of boys snuck around the hallways. Aiger was climbing on the walls and hiding behind items like a ninja. Ranjiro tried to follow Aigers lead but failed while Valt and Fubuki just jogged.

Luckily it had been a long day for everyone and no one was around this time of night.

Closing the door behind him he looked around it was a navy room with a smaller bed but with a large fireplace and desk. It was one of the more simple rooms in the Dread Tower.

"When I was relaxing on the bed from training I hit my head against the lamp."

Valt went over to the bed laying on it above a small lamp for reading late at night.

His head hit the lamp and the book shelf opened.

"Woah a secret passageway!" Aiger went towards it looking down the dark hallway.

"I wonder what it'll lead us to." Fubuki mumbled.

The boys went down the dark cave-like hallway. Fubuki led with the only flashlight. Behind was Aiger, then Ranjiro and bringing up the rear was Valt.

It was a bit chiller and it helped that Valt had snagged some Bey bread. By using the crumbs he left a trail back to their room.

"Wait, stop, watch out for the.."

Everyone bumped into each other causing a cascade of falling bladers. Fubuki tripped over and a door feel down trapping them in the tunnel.

"Booby traps." Fubuki finished.

"No turning back now." Ranjiro commented.

"Booby traps! How cool!" Valt chimed in.

The group kept moving forward.

"Hey look peepholes!" Aiger went over to the wall along with Fubuki.

Climbing up the wall Aiger looked in one of the holes while Fubuki looked in the other.

Inside was a small brick by brick room, it was a bit smaller and it only fit a stadium and it had little space on either side. Two blader stood from opposing sides.

One was trying to hide his identity with a black cloak covering his head and lower half. He also wore boots and was tall. The bladers overall appearance reminded Fubuki of the grim reaper.

The other blader Fubuki recognized immediately: Lui Shirosagi.

He wore a smug smile and his hair was flaming with power and force.

In the stadium the two clashed with power and force. It was nearly impossible to see the beys but based on Lui's reaction he was taken aback.

"It seems you've gotten stronger, but I know how afraid you are of losing because I know what he'll do to you."

The other blader said nothing, not letting Lui's threats be an entertainment for Lui.

Just then the heart wrenching sound of a burst was heard. When the fog cleared Lúinor was in pieces.

Fubuki and Aiger gasped, causing Lui to look up at them. Surprised by Lui both boys lost their balance and fell onto Ranjiro and Valt.

"What is it? What did you guys see?" Valt asked.

"Lui Shirosagi." Aiger answered.

"What would Lui be doing here?"

"I don't know but whoever he was battling was weird." said Fubuki.

"How so?" Ranjiro asked.

"He wore this black hood that also covered his back. And he also wore boots and was quiet." said Fubuki thinking.

"Maybe it's no never mind." Valt said mumbling.

"What who?" Fubuki asked.

The whole group was staring at Valt waiting for his answer.

"Daigo Kurogami."
