"Got to have it, the feeling you give me is savage.."

My birthday is tomorrow. Am I excited? Yes. Do the boys know? No.

I mean it's not like I don't want them to know, I just don't want them to do anything for me. They have already done so much for me.

"Hey, Kat?"

"What's up, Anna?"

My sister sits on the couch next to me and I lock my phone, setting it on my lap.

"Hayes asked me out.." She says biting her lip.

"That's awesome!!" I smile.

"Yeah, but what about dad??"

I purse my lips and think for a moment, "Well, what do you mean?"

"Like, I'm only thirteen.."

"Tell you what. I promise not to tell dad. Say yes to Hayes and tell him your dad can't know... I trust that boy but Dad is Dad."

A huge smile appears on her lips and she attacks me with a huge hug.

"Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much, Kat!"

I nod, "Now don't make me regret this!"

She giggles and quickly grabs her phone out of her pocket, she taps quickly, her fingers grazing the screen.

"Hey, Hayes. Yeah.. Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend."

My 'proud big sister' emotions kick in and I begin kicking my feet in excitement.

"Yay! Oh my god!" I whisper scream.

Anna glares at me and I hold back a giggle. She speaks a few last words and says goodbye before hanging up the phone.

"I have a boyfriend!" She squeals.

"Go Anna, go Anna, go Anna." I start cheering as we do a little dance with our hands.

"Guys! I'm home!"

"Hey, Dad." Anna and I giggle.

He comes and sits down in his recliner across from the couch we are on.

"So where did you go?"

"Just met with a business colleague."

"Hey honey." Mom says, kissing dad.

It was a strange sight to see my parents back together...and happy. I am happy though. Mom sits down on the couch next to us and we resume on conversation.

"So where is your brother??" She asks.

"Cameron is asleep still."

"Not anymore." Cam's voice croaks as footsteps trail down the stairs.

"Morning Cameron." Everyone choruses.

"Good morning." He yawns.

"So school starts in a couple months." Dad smiles.

"Dad! It's the beginning of July!!" Anna scolds.

He chuckles, "Right."

"So Katrina.." My mom begins, "tomorrow you turn seventeen."

"Yep. Big ol' one-seven."

"What do you want for your birthday??"

"Well... Can I let you know later? I haven't really though about what I want.."
