Kate was thrown back into her room. They had just finished 'testing' her, and her body was sore all over. Today they tried to figure out what seeing was like for her compared to a human, and whenever she refused to answer her questions, they would electrocute her. Many times she remained silent, hoping they would just move on. She didn't like to answer them. And as such, with every movement it felt like needles were piercing her body.
Kate began to worry about Connor. Questions began to fill Kate's mind. Had they captured him too? Would he try to save her? Or was he just wasting time in the Dome like she used to?
She brushed these thoughts aside. She knew, or at least hoped, that he would be alright. She knew that there was no point in worrying about Connor. He had been able to escape dying floating around in the middle of space by coming to the moon. He could take care of himself. Or so she hoped. A small part of her thought that maybe they had found Connor and captured him too, maybe even killed him.
Kate walked over to her desk. Her old drawings had been scattered all around the desk, much to Kate's dismay. A pile of more white sheets had been placed on the desk, and there were a few more pens too. Kate then took a white sheet and a pen and began to draw.
Kate didn't have control of her hand. It moved on it's own, creating lines that would eventually form a shape. When she finished she looked at the drawing. It was yet another unfamiliar drawing. Every time she would draw, it would be of things she had never seen before. This had happened back in the Dome as well. It was as if her hand moved on it's own.
Kate realized this may be why her captors were so interested in it. Maybe it was familiar to them? Kate thought about this for a while. She decided that maybe if she stopped drawing she could get some answers.
If her captors noticed she stopped drawing, then maybe they would force her to draw, or maybe even tell her what the drawings were of. Kate was curious of these drawings, and wanted to know more about them. Just then, Kate heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Kate said in her usual cheery voice. A muscular man walked through the door. The sleeves of his uniform had been ripped off, showing his overly muscular arm. His arm was littered with tons of scars, forming lines all over his arms. His face also had a few scars, but not as many.
"Your being moved. You will no longer stay in this room. We are moving you to a room closer to the testing chamber, so we don't have to walk as far to get you. Is there anything from this room you would like to take with you?" The man explained.
"No." Kate replied. The man walked up to her and hit her on the head. Kate staggered backwards from the impact. Her vision blurred, and she was engulfed into darkness.
