Kate heard arguing. She couldn’t seem to open her eyes, although she could hear the people fighting clearly, and she could feel the bedsheets underneath her. She couldn’t move either, her body didn’t seem to listen to her when she tried. It was as if she was paralyzed, and she didn’t like it.

“I AM NOT AN IDIOT! WHAT IS WITH YOU AND THAT STUPID ‘WE HAVE’ THING ANYWAY!” One of the people said. Are they fighting because he was called an idiot? Kate thought. He had sounded about 1700 Lunarian years old. Of course, since Kate is the last of the Lunarians, there is no way that he is that old. In human years that would be about… Seventeen. Lunarians age much slower than humans, about 1000 years for a Lunarian is one year for a human.

“We have found a sensitive one, haven’t we Murashi? I just love to listen to him yell about how he is not as we have said. It is hilarious, and I believe we have the same thoughts Murashi.” Another said. He must have been that weird ‘We Have’ tall guy, the one who had been conducting experiments on her, and the one who kidnapped her in the first place. He always switched between using ‘We Have’ in all his sentences to using the term like a normal person quite often. And judging by the way he was speaking, there must have been another person with them, probably named Murashi. He must have been the muscular man that was always following the tall guy around like a loyal pet.

“What else would you like to be called? Gago? Baka? Idiootti? Idiota, babo, durak, ben dan, gerizekali? Gabe, bodoh, apush? Pendejo, abruti, heimskingi? Bedak-” A third man joined in before he was cut off. This must have been the muscular man, Murashi. How he knew so many different languages was a mystery.

“I GET THE FREAKING PICTURE ALREADY! YOU DON’T NEED TO SAY IDIOT IN A BILLION DIFFERENT LANGUAGES!” The one being called an idiot said.

At this point Kate was finally able to open her eyes. Her body still wouldn’t move though. Kate just looked at the ceiling while the three people fought, waiting for her body to start moving again.

The roomed seemed brighter than usual. The lights hadn’t been changed, they still let off the faint yellow light that barely seemed to brighten the room. The window was facing away from the big bright ball of gas known as the sun, although it was all probably her eyes playing tricks on her.

Kate tried to do something simple, move her fingers. She tried, and after a while of mentally screaming at her body to move, she managed to move her fingers slightly. Next, Turn her head. It was hard, but eventually she managed to move her head to the side to see what was going on.

In front of her was the ‘We Have’ man, and Murashi. Over Murashi’s shoulder, Kate could make out a turquoise jumpsuit, that didn’t seem to fit the wearer all that well. So it’s just someone from the building… Wait, what was I expecting? But why… Why is his voice so familiar? KAte thought to herself.

“Please, if anyone is the idiot here, it is Mr.We Have here. Who uses the term ‘we have’ like that? It’s just plain stupid.” The so-called idiot said, defending himself. Why exactly is he defying a someone who is obviously his boss like that? If he were a normal lackey, if he was called an idiot, his response should be, “Yes, sir!”

“Don’t talk to sir Simon like that! He is much better than you, baka.” Murashi said. What’s with him and other languages?

“I told you Murashi! My name is not Simon anymore, it is Sideath. Get it right fool!” Sir Simon/Sideath said. What kind of name is Sideath? This guy is crazy. Kate thought.

“Yes, sir Sideath.” Murashi replied submissively.

“More like sir We Have.” The possible idiot scoffed. Kate almost laughed. She would have if it wasn’t for the fact that her body wouldn’t let her speak.

Kate tried, and failed to sit up, or at least make a noise. What had they done to her to make her like this? It was as if her body wouldn’t respond to the commands sent out by her brain. Kate wanted to move, wanted to speak, wanted to do something. But her body refused to move.

“Well. It seems like the alien is struggling to move now isn’t she?” Sideath said, as he turned to her. “Looks like she woke up, but as long as the paralysis is still active, she can’t do anything.” So it was paralysis… But why? Kate thought.

“Kate!” The maybe idiot said, trying to get past Murashi, who was holding him down.

That’s when she recognized the voice. It was Connor. But why was he here? Did he want to be with the other humans? Did he get caught too? Did he actually come to rescue her? Kate secretly hoped it was the last one, although she knew it was unlikely. He barely knew her, why would he risk his life for her when he could be with the other humans?

Sideath walked over to Kate. He picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. Kate tried to struggle, but ultimately failed.

“Murashi, we have the alien, and it will stay that way. If we trade her off to be studied by the other humans, then we have a way so that we will be able to see our families again! We have found the key that will make it so we can go to Mars, and you can see your little sister again! And most of all, we have a way to escape death!” Sideath said.

Kate was confused. Why do they want to go to Mars? Why are their families separated? Why will they escape from death? And why does he feel like he has to use ‘We Have in all his sentences?

“Yeah.” Murashi said. He then put his hand on his chest and stared up at the ceiling. “I’m coming Akashi. I will be there soon. I will be with you very soon, just you wait.” Murashi the walked over to Kate and with a quick nod from Sideath, hit her on the head knocking her unconscious.

And why does she always have to be knocked unconscious. It gets really annoying after a while. And Murashi always seems to be the cause of her falling unconscious so often. One of these days, she is going to get a concussion. And then she is getting payback on Murashi.
