Connor hurt all over. Walking wasn't helping, and it took everything he had not to wince in pain with every step. He had to safely get to the Dome without alerting unwanted attention, and having Kate worry about him would just be a setback.

"Are you sure you're okay Connor?" Kate asked, her voice barely above a whisper. This was one of the only times that she had really said anything since they escaped. She had been relatively quiet, not speaking unless she had to. Her face was always emotionless, as if she forgot about the world around her.

"I'm fine. It's you I'm worried about. You've been staring off into space for a while now, and I'm starting to worry." Connor replied.

"I've just had a bad feeling for the longest time. As if something terrible will happen. It's been making me nervous... And scared."

"I might know what is making you feel like that. I'll tell you once we get to the Dome where it's safe, alright?" Connor said, looking at his feet.

Kate once again stop talking and sped up her walking. Connor trailed slightly behind, as his injuries slowed him down. Off in the distance Connor could see the Earth. It was weird seeing it from a distance, as he was so used to living on it's surface. And that's when he noticed something.

Green was returning to Earth.

It had been at least a week since he left Earth, and in that time, the Earth has managed to regrow some of the plants that had previously been dead. The water was a little less of a vibrant purple, but it was still filled with poison and pollution. When the humans left, the Earth began rebuilding itself. If they blow up the Earth, then they are ruining the only chance at life on Earth. Even if that life didn't include humans.

Kate also seemed transfixed by the Earth, but that didn't slow down her walking. She just seemed to stare at it the entire time they walked.

After a little more walking, the pair had reached the entrance to the Dome. They walked inside, but Kate stopped at the entrance, looking back at outside.

"I have to seal off the entrance. It's safer that way." Kate said in a monotone voice. She began chanting, and eventually, a large stone wall came down from the ceiling and blocked the entrance. The last bit of light had been sealed off, leaving Connor and Kate in the dark.

In the darkness, Connor could barely make out Kate. she had begun walking towards the inside of the Dome as if the darkness didn't faze her. Then again she probably knew the way by heart. She had lived here for over a thousand years, she probably knew the entire moon like the back of her hand.

Connor began walking through the tunnel in silence, feeling his way down the hall, hugging the wall. When he reached the Dome, he silently thanked whoever was listening for the light, and went off to find Kate.

She should be around here somewhere. She couldn't have gotten here that much faster than me. Could She?
