Connor walked out of Kate's room. Or what was her room until that huge muscled man moved her. If only Connor had gotten there earlier. Then he could have saved her much faster, and have gotten away from this place. Why does this place exist anyway? Everyone who wasn't going to Mars wouldn't have the resources to build this.

"Hey! You there!" A woman carrying a tray of coffee walked up to Connor.

"I'm busy right now. I need you to bring this tray of coffee into the conference room over there." The woman pointed to the door to Connor's left. "If you're lucky, they might let you stay for the rest of the meeting! So, what do you say?"

"Umm, sure?" Connor said his answer sounding more like a question.

"Thanks! Here you go, don't you dare drop it, or they guys in there will have your head." The woman shoved the tray into Connor's hands and pushed him through the door.

The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from a small table lamp, and the projector screen covering the one wall. In the center of the room was a long table, with chairs on either side of the table. At each chair sat a person, all wearing suits and ties, instead of the usual turquoise jumpsuits. In front of all of the people were small stacks of paper, most containing charts or statistics. The projector showed an X-ray of what seemed like a human. There was a tall thin man standing to the side of the projector, pointing at things with a long pointer stick.

At least he was. When Connor entered the room, everyone went silent and stared at Connor.

"I've, umm, brought the coffee?" Connor said, again sounding more like a question then an answer. One of the people at the table smiled and pointed to an empty spot on the table.

"Put it on the table boy. This must be your first time being on coffee duty, isn't it?" Connor put the coffee on the table.

"Yeah. Some woman shoved the tray in my hands and told me to do it. She said she was busy, although, she didn't look busy at all. Well, after I took the tray, she was in no hurry to go anywhere!" Connor said.

"That's Sarah for you. She's always making stupid excuses not to do these things. Anyway, you seem like a nice boy. If you want, you can stay and watch the meeting. But please, do not interrupt." The man replied. He pointed to a chair next to the door and motioned for Connor to sit.

Connor sat in the chair, and almost instantly, the man in front of the projector screen began talking again.

"We have been very successful in our studies so far. We have found much information that could be successful. We have found out exactly what it breathes, how it's body reacts to different levels of gravity, and how long it's lifespan is. We have, unfortunately, not found out the cause of it's odd drawing skills." The man said, pointing to many different spots on the X-ray.

"We have seen that the alien shows signs of being highly intelligent, and seems to have a very distinct personality. We have also found that it has also shown it is physically fit as well, and has knocked five men unconscious at one point." At this statement, Connor knew he was talking about Kate. Her punches hurt. The man at the projector screen went to the only empty seat at the table, and another, much shorter man approached the screen.

"Her lungs extract argon out of the air, and convert it into a usable substance for her to breathe. It is also found in the air we have circulating this building, and that is why she can still breathe." The man explained, pointing at the lungs. Connor noticed how he called Kate her, unlike how the other man called her it.

The Scrolls of Life must have changed my body to run on that then. How is still a mystery. Connor thought.

"As for her odd ability to contain a normal rate of gravity, when she is in an area with less gravity, her muscles increase their density, making them heavier, but also stronger. So, when she is on the surface of the moon, for example, her punches hit harder than they do in this building because of the artificial gravity we put in place." Connor was just considering her odd ability to adapt to gravity just another mystery of the Lunarians, but apparently, there is a scientific explanation.

The man took out a small black remote with two buttons on it, and pressed the top one. The picture on the screen changed, the X-ray replaced with a picture of Kate's drawings.

"This however, has only one explanation. A human must have been in contact with the alien. How else would she have any idea of what things from Earth look like? I believe that there is a traitor in amongst us. It could be a lowly cook, or it could even be one of the people sitting here today." The room all gasped and began looking at each other. Connor knew this wasn't the case though. He had only told her little things about Earth, he had not described a cat in that much detail. Kate was definitely special, and this is just another one of her oddities.

But, unfortunately, now the whole building was on high alert. Someone would find the two unconscious men eventually, or worse, they could wake up themselves.

Nothing bad will happen with those two, right? I hope not...
