The room Kate was thrown into was completely and utterly, white. It was almost impossible to tell where the floor ended, and where the wall began. In the centre of the room was a silver table, which provide the only colour in the entire room. The table was cold to the touch, but extremely smooth, and ity seemed to be polished to the point of perfection. The table was slightly longer than Kate, and went up to her waist. On the table were four straps, probably to hold something down. And judging from the size, it would be Kate that gets strapped down. Kate started shaking at the thought of being strapped to a cold table, while people did what thy pleased with her.
Kate really didn't like this room. Beyond the clean whiteness of it all, it had a foreboding feel to about it. It had no windows, and the only door was just as white as the rest of the room making it almost impossible to spot. Kate didn't like the silence of this room. It was eerie, and the whiteness of it all made it even worse. The whole room smelled of chemicals, and the thickness of the air made it awkward for Kate to breathe.
The silence of the room was broken by the sound of footsteps outside the door. The door opened, revealing one of the Dome Heads, but without the spacesuit on. He had brown hair, dark brown eyes, and was very tall, but thin. He had many muscles, but his thin build made him just look stupid. His eyes had a look in them, and it was almost psychotic. The lab coat he wore made him look like a mad scientist. Kate didn't want to be near him.
"We have to study you. Therefore, we have reason to keep you in this room and research you. We have to do this, for the good of the human race." Kate knew that voice. That was Ella's great-grandson, the uncle of the child he saved. He was also the one who found and captured Kate.
"You will do as we have asked of you, and you will not disobey. If you do what we have told you, you shall be severely punished. We are not kind people, and we are especially mean to aliens." Kate just stood rooted to the spot. She would not be tested on, and Kate was too stubborn to think otherwise.
When Kate just stood there, another man walked through the door. He picked up Kate, and threw her onto the table in the centre of the room, strapping down her arms and legs.
The man pulled out a cylindrical object. It had a sharp point at the end, and inside of it was a weird liquid. The man stabbed her arm with it, and Kate's vision began to blur. She couldn't move no matter how she tried, and eventually she gave in and fell unconscious.
Kate awoke to a pain in her lungs. Her lungs screamed out at her for air, she couldn't breathe. Her eyes shot open, and when she tried to bring her hands to her neck, they wouldn't move. She looked over at her hands and saw that they were bound to the table by that strange material. She pulled on the straps, trying to break free. Her lungs were burning. She couldn't take this anymore.
"Ahh, we found out what you breathe, finally." Kate looked to her side to see the man who put her on the table, writing something down.
"Now, I guess we are obligated to give you air again right?" The man walked closer to the table Kate was laying on. He pressed a button, and air began flowing into the room. Kate could finally breathe again.
"Oh, how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself! My name is Draco Lastand. You are to address me as Dr. Lastand, or if you prefer, Dr. L. I will be performing tests on you until we all die. So get used to me." The man who threw Kate onto the table said. Kate tried to hide the fear on her face, but it must have been quite obvious, as when he looked at her face, his smile spread across his face. He was grinning ear to ear when a woman came through the door.
"Dr. Lastand! It is time for lunch. Please, just secure the subject, and come eat. We are waiting for you." Dr. Lastand walked over to Kate. He tightened the straps on her wrists and ankles and whispered to her,
"Be good. If you try to escape, you will be severely punished." He stepped back and walked towards the door. "Well, it's time for lunch! I will be with you again shortly. Then we can begin the pain tolerance test! This will be fun. Mwahahahahaha!" Kate already disliked Dr. Lastand. But at least he was better than Ella's descendent. He always said either 'We Have', or, 'We Are' in his sentences. It just added to the evil factor.
