Sometime in the Edo period (1603-1867)
War had struck Japan again and Minamoto Kou had been called out to the battlefield. "Please do you have to go?" Mitsuba Sousuke pleaded as his friend was walking out the room. Kou nodded, "I'm sorry Sousuke. Teru is being called out as well. I must do my duty for Japan. If I die... I die in honor of my country." Sousuke's eyes welled up and tears started to spill. "Kou.. please. Why did you become a samurai?" Kou sighs and turns to Sousuke. "Sousuke.." he grabs his friend and hugs him, "I'll come back." Mitsuba looks up at him and sniffs, "Promise?" Kou chuckles and nods, "Promise."
