New addition...

I grab us some more drinks and browse the aution items while I wait for Lily. I see a trip to Fiji and immediately bid on it. At one point it was on Lily's bucket list and I'm assuming it still is. I keep browsing and bid on a couple of other smaller items. Then Lily joins me and we head off to find the rest of the gang.

Everyone's sitting at our table laughing and having a good time.

Hunter says, "I see Lily did a good job of calming you down."

I flip him the bird. And he just laughs.

Emma asks Lily, "So what happened? I thought you and Steven were on good terms after your dinner together?"

I look at Lily and raise my eyebrow. "Dinner?"

"I ran into him at the grocery store and he said he wanted to talk. So we had dinner at his house. And yes, Emma, I also thought we ended on good terms but clearly I was mistaken."

"When was this dinner?" Suddenly there's a tightness in my chest. Clearly it was after her and I reconnected. Did he kiss her? Did he have his hands on her? The idea of that makes me sick.

"I don't know. Not long after that night that we first saw each other again. Why?"

I lean in so nobody else can hear. Everyone seems to take the hint and they all go to get more drinks or move to the dance floor.

"Why didn't you tell me you had dinner with him?"

"Because it wasn't a big deal. We just cleared the air. And you and I weren't officially anything yet. Really Oliver it was just a goodbye dinner."

I decide to leave it alone. Just dealing with that asshole tonight set me on edge. When it comes to Lily I can most definitely be a little over protective.

"Okay. I'm sorry. That guy just rubs me the wrong way."

"It's okay. Dance with me?"

"Always." I stand and take her hand and lead her to the dance floor. Everyone's out there having a good time and we join in. There's some guy dancing awfully close to Emma and saying something in her ear that has her laughing. I point it out to Lily.

"Ooh! Good for her. She deserves to have some fun."

The rest of the night passes in a haze of alcohol and laughter. I find out that I won the trip to Fiji but I decide to keep that information to myself. I want to surprise Lily with it.

We all make it home in one peice thanks to the car service. Lily and I both had our fair share of drinks so when we attempt to get each other naked there's a lot of laughter and fumbling around. But we eventually get there and then I proceed to show her once again how happy I am that she agreed to marry me.

Sunday we decide to invite my family and Lily's to the house for Sunday dinner so we can make all their dreams come true and tell them we're engaged. We suspect they know why we want to have them here but its still nice to get both families together and celebrate. As expected both our moms cry and give squeels of delight. It ends up being a very good day.

Monday I'm working on the design for a new hotel downtown when my phone rings. It's Lily.

"Hello beautiful."

"Ollie." I can in her voice that somethings wrong.

"What is it baby? You okay?"

"He was granted parole. He should be out by the end of the week."

Fuck! I want nothing more than to slam my fist through the wall in that moment.

"Lily, are you okay? What do you need me to do?"
