As soon as I pull up to the house I hear Milo barking like crazy and then when I get in the garage I see Lily's purse on the floor. As I move towards the door to the house I hear her scream.
When I'm inside I see him ontop of her and all I see is red. The adrenaline is pumping like never before and I just tackle him off of her. He has a gun and I'm fighting for control of it.
Lily yells for me to be careful and I'm trying but this crazy mother fucker is strong. I see Lily run towards the garage and all I can think is thank god shes out of harms way. Seconds later the gun goes off.
It takes a minute for the pain to register. But when it does its a blinding kind of pain. I fall to the ground and watch as that peice of shit runs out the front door.
"Oliver!!" Lily is by my side screaming. "Oh my god. Oliver. Stay with me." She gets up and leaves and when she comes back she presses something against my stomach. I cry out in pain. "Oliver I'm sorry but I have to try and stop the bleeding. I called 911. They're on their way."
Just then the front door flys open and Lily jumps. "Lily, Oliver!" I think its Andrew. It sounds like him but I'm not sure.
"Andrew! Olivers been shot. Help!"
Then he's kneeling next to me.
"Hey buddy. We got you. Hang in there. Lily, did you call 911? "
"Yes."
Andrew moves then and comes back with a blanket and wraps it around Lily. "Lily, are you okay? How bad are you hurt?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Oliver's the one whose been shot."
"Here let me do that. Lily go get more towels."
Andrew takes over applying pressure and I let out a moan of pain again. "Sorry man. You better hang in there. Stay with us. Help will be here in a minute."
Lilys back with more towels and Andrew puts a fresh one over my stomach.
"Lily, hold one to your cheek. You're bleeding pretty bad yourself."
The pain isn't so bad now. And I realize I'm probably going into shock. I suddenly feel very tired and close my eyes.
Both Andrew and Lily start yelling my name but I'm powerless to answer them. I give into the blackness.
