"Eugene Cruz? What are you-" I stopped talking when I saw his right hand with a knife close to Karl Mendez's neck. "Hello, Madam President Lorraine Kim. It's been a while hasn't it?" He said, grinning. "Don't tell me you're breaking your relationship as bestfriends with President Mendez? Are you really that trash's ally?" I said. "Maybe you're right, but maybe you aren't either. I have my own reasons for wanting to kill him, you know. Ngayon ka lang naging kaibigan namin. To put it simply you're just a stranger na hindi alam kung ano mga pinagdaanan namin the past few years." He said. "Whatever that reason may be, you can't just decide to kill him!" I said.
"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! YOU'RE JUST A STRANGER WHO ENTERED OUR LIFE! YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO!" He said, shouting with rage. There was silence after his shout. "Why do you hate him so much?" I said, breaking the silence. "He was the one who was responsible for my Brother's Death in Prison. If he just didn't step up at that time MY BROTHER MIGHT STILL BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW! IF HE DIDN'T STEP UP AND PUT MY BROTHER IN PRISON! THAT'S WHY I WILL KILL HIM RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!" He said as he was about to stab President Mendez but all I can do was scream and when I opened my eyes, Eugene Cruz's right hand were stopped by President Mendez's Hand. "I know very well what you're trying to do." President Mendez said.
"W-What?! You're awake the whole time?! And you dare say that you know how I feel but you know nothing! You don't know what I feel! Because of your stupid ideals MY BROTHER IS LOCKED UP IN PRISON AND TOOK HIS OWN LIFE! You are worse than a murderer" His voice trailed off and he began crying.
"I know, I know how you feel about me and I know that you want to kill me. I kept you close knowing how much you want to kill me when I sent your Brother to Prison with my deduction. I kept you close and gave you lots of opportunities to kill me. But you didn't do it. That just means that you really don't want to kill me, you just want to tell me what you feel, and I can only say one thing even though you think I'm a showoff that's fine by me because I knew what I did was the right thing to do. Please don't let your feelings make you team up with that bastard." President Mendez said to Eugene Cruz, who can't stop crying. I also cried for Eugene Cruz's Brother because his Brother took his own life after being sent to prison.
After a short while Mr. Estrada and my Father entered the room and saw Eugene Cruz crying and President Mendez awake looking at him. "Mr. Mendez! Kamusta po ang nararamdaman ninyo? Bakit po kayo tumayo agad sa higaan niyo?" Mr. Estrada said, looking worried. "Ikaw din Lorraine, bakit ka sumigaw kanina anong nangyari dito? Okay ka lang ba?" My Father said, looking worried. "Let me explain Mr. Estrada and Mr. Kim, Eugene Cruz tried to, I mean told me stories and that he was so worried about me, Lorraine Kim just screamed because a cockroach flew everywhere. So don't worry about me and Lorraine Kim. I'm gonna rest some more, you may go home now Mr. Kim and Lorraine Kim. Mr. Estrada, please send them home and also my friends if you could also, please send them home." President Mendez said, in a calm manner.
