Chapter 05: The Exes IX (The Beginning of an End)

                     KARL MENDEZ

I woke up at exactly 6:30 AM, when I woke up, I saw Lorraine Kim still sleeping so I silently stood up and properly cleaned my bedsheets. I got out of the room at 6:45 AM, I went to the living room and sat there for a few minutes and no one still woked up. Then I started to think that I should prepare us breakfast, since they were really nice to let me sleep in their house for the meantime. After getting the ingredients in the Refrigerator, I cooked our breakfast. After a few minutes, I heard a door open and close. When I looked behind I saw Lorraine Kim's Sister standing there looking at me cooking. When she came into her senses, her jaw dropped.

"Uhm, is there anything wrong?" I asked. "Everything, what you're doing is very wrong! We can't let our guest cook us breakfast, I'm sorry we weren't awake to cook breakfast!" She said. "No, it's totally fine. I'm the one who always cooks my breakfast at home, so this is just okay with me. This is also to repay you for your kindness of letting me stay in your house for the meantime." I said, smiling. After that she just sat at the chair close to me, watching me cook. After a few more minutes, everyone in their house began woking up one by one, luckily I'm almost finished cooking.

"Good Morning, Mr & Mrs. Kim and Lorraine Kim" I greeted them, smiling after I've finished cooking. "Good Morning, President Mendez" Lorraine Kim, greeted happily. "Good Morning uhmm Mr. Mendez?" Mr.& Mrs. Kim greeted me as well, smiling. "Kahit Karl na lang po Mr. & Mrs. Kim." I said. "Ahh ganun ba Karl, then calling us Tita and Tito would be fine, right?" They asked. "Of course Tita & Tito" I said, smiling. "Ayan na po yung agahan natin, kain na po kayo." I said, gesturing them the delicious looking food. When they took a bite at my cooking, I was intently staring at them to see their reactions. "How was it Tita, Tito & Lorraine?" I asked.

"Grabe, ang sarap naman nito. Hindi ko alam na kaya palang maging ganito kasarap ng itlog at ng Noodles!" They exclaimed in joy. "Thank you for your compliment, Tita & Tito and Lorraine and Ate?" I said. "Can I call you Ate?" I asked. "Of course, why not!" She said, smiling. After the joyful breakfast, I called Mr. Estrada. "Hello, Mr. Estrada? I'm gonna be staying here for a little while, please bring me clothes and 3 complete sets of Uniform. I'll be staying here until next week. Thank you Mr. Estrada." I said. "Sure ka na diyan, Mr. Mendez ah, hindi ko na lang ipapaalam kila Mr. & Mrs. Mendez na hindi ka umuwi dito for 1 week dahil sa away niyong magkapatid." Mr. Estrada said. I could tell he's worried about me, but there's nothing to worry about, I ended the call after saying Goodbye."

"Tita & Tito, pwede po ba kaming umalis ni Lorraine? May pupuntahan lang po kaming Importanteng lugar, pag dumating po si Mr. Estrada, please show him the way to Lorraine Kim's Room and please help him arrange my things, thank you po!" I said. "Oh sige, magiingat kayo ah." Tita & Tito said. "Opo Tita & Tito, aalis na po kami" I said, waving goodbye. We took a Jeepney to go to the Place we're going to. Camille's place. After a few minutes stuck in traffic, we finally arrived. "Camille? Tao po?" I said, knocking. "President Mendez?" She said, looking surprised. "Anong pinunta mo dito President Mendez?" She asked. "Can you come with us and visit our friend?" I said. "Sure, President Mendez just give me one minute." She said. "Okay, we'll be waiting here." I said. After a minute, she went out properly dressed.
