"Who the fuck chose to do this?" Amelie shouted as she stood up from the big fall.

"You did." Avani and i laughed as we helped her up.

"I know i regret it." She groaned.

She texted me after I left Noah's this morning and insisted we go on a hike. I was down for whatever.

"We're almost at the top." I smiled at her.

"I swear we said that an hour ago." She pouted.

Then we continued to walk along the trail.

"So Verona... what happened last night?" Avani raise a brow at me.

"Yeah... im curious too." Amelie added.

"So i don't know if you guys know or not but Abby and Noah used to have a thing before he met me. Then we started talking so he ended things with Abby. We've been talking ever since. But its always like shes trying to get at him again. He says he would never let anything bad happen but the point is... she's always going to keep trying to start something. And so last night when i saw her talking to him it pissed me off. So Noah and I got into a little argument and told him this morning that i want to spend the day away from him to think."

"Well damn." Avani laughed. "How did Noah take it?"

"Not too sure." I shrugged.

"So are you on a break?"

"No... just taking a day off from each other. Give us time to think about what happened and where we're gonna take our relationship."

"And what are you thinking?" Amelie dusted off her sweater.

"I don't know." I groaned. "I dont want to have to make him block Abby. Thats some toxic girlfriend stuff and i don't want to be that kind of girlfriend."

"Yeah dont do that." Amelie shook her head.

"I guess im just gonna have to suck it up." I let out a sigh. "I'll just pretend i dont care if they talk."

"Yeah but V... you cant hide your feelings." Amelie pouted at me.

"I know but I just dont want drama. I dont want to keep fighting with Noah over a bitch."
