Chapter 28

Zack's pov:

Ready?" Chris asked me.

Was I? Was I really ready? 8 months ago I was a horny teenager who only cared about popularity, football, and of course sex. I was pretending to be someone else so no girl could ever hurt me again.

Now, though, I'm the mate of Alpha Alex Grey. Soon to be luna of his pack, the Silver Moon. My top priority is him and I guess now the pack. I'll be graduating high school in 2 months and then full time luna. Luna Zack Grey.

So am I ready? Ready for responsibility, love, and a new family? Am I ready to let my original family know about my new family? It's all happening so fast.

"Yes." I finally answered.

He smiled and gripped my hand. I'm not alone in this. I have Chris. I have Nate. I have Heather. I have Melissa. I have the love of my life. I'm far from alone. I don't have to do this by myself.

The door opened and my mom walked in.

"Everything is ready outside. You know, with all the cooking and cleaning I've done for this little meeting you've planned, it better be important mister or I'll spank you just as I did when you were a little rebel!" she teased.

I nodded and elbowed Alex when he mumbled that I'd probably like it now and he'd gladly do it for her. He chuckled and grabbed my another hand.

"Let's go." he said.

Nate grabbed Chris away from me so it'll be easier for all of us to get out the door. As soon as I passed, Alex grabbed my hand again and we walked downstairs.

When we arrived outside, we both gasped at all the hard work my mother really did do. Our patio was small and nothing special but she made it look great. Thankfully, we have plenty of backyard so my plan would work nicely.

"Don't worry about the drinks. They're just peach and orange icies. I just put them in wine glasses for show." Mom said as we looked over the table.

"What are these?" I asked as I picked up the cup of dessert.

"They're mint chocolate parfaits with brownies in them. I thought we should snack on them while the shrimp and chicken cook. The corn cobs are done though." she said.

My mouth watered at lunch's menu. Alex actually groaned in excitement. My mom chuckled at our reactions before heading back inside. Chris and Nate soon joined us inside.

"The girls are almost here." Nate said as he sat down and took a sip of his icy.

"Holy fuck this is good!" he exclaimed.

Chris pouted and smacked the back of his head.

"You promised me you were going to cuss so often." he reminded.

"Awww, I'm sorry baby. However, I don't hear you complaining during sex." Nate chuckled.

Chris gasped and blushed a horrible red. We all laughed as he ran away from us and into the house.

"I think someone's going to be in trouble tonight." I teased the big guy.

He laughed and nodded his head. He gave us a short wave before following after his mate.

"Oooh, I got my sexy little mate all to myself now." Alex purred as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.

He began to gently sway us and we laughed and talked until a voice interrupted us.

"Oh well lookie here! The lovebirds made up!" Amy said pretending to be over the moon.

I groaned and flipped her off. She smirked and flipped me off as well.
