Eodromaeus is a genus of basal theropod Dinosaur from the Late Triassic. It is known as the earliest species of Dinosaur, giving rise to the two main orders; saurischians and ornithischians. First thought to be a species of Eoraptor after the first fossils were found in 1991, but more were found in 1996 and it was finally classified as its own species. As the Eodromaeus most likely had primitive feathers, it is also likely that all dinosaurs after it had some sort of feather too, whether it's a full body covering or patches of quills or downy. Length: 3.9 Feet Weight: 11 Pounds Diet: Meat Lived: In South America during the Late Triassic of the Mesozoic Era Appearance: A small lanky bipedal body with a rounded head and a horizontal stance. Sharp claws and teeth for killing and scavenging. Likely proto-feathers covering the body.
