Spriggina was an early bilaterian animal from the late Ediacaran period in the Precambrian Era. It was discovered by Reg Sprigg, hence how it got its name, in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia. Length: 5 centimeters Weight: N/A Diet: Possibly Algae and other organic matter off of the ocean floor Lived: In South Australia during the Edicarian period of the Precambrian Era Appearance: Is oblong with segments running down its body. Has an almost arrow-shaped head. Spriggina is now known as an early arthropod, which explains its similarities with Trilobites. Take a look!
