By far one of the most famous of the Dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex was the ultimate predator. With a bite force of 12,000 pounds, it could easily bite through any armor and bone.
The first Tyrannosaurus rex was discovered in Hell Creek, Montana in 1902 by the famous fossil hunter Barnum Brown. Six years later, Brown discovered a nearly complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton at Big Dry Creek, Montana.
The worlds largest Tyrannosaurus rex discovered was nicknamed "Scotty". It was unearthed in Canada and was 43 feet long, a few feet longer than the previous largest; "Sue"
   Length: 40 to 43 feet
   Weight: 7 tons
Diet: Large prey such as Triceratops and Parasaurolophus. Also may have scavenged from carcasses
Lived: In North America during the Late Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic Era
Appearance: Two long and muscular hind limbs holding up a long horizontal body. The forelimbs were rather small, around the size of a human arm. Feathers most likely lined the head, back, and tail, but for now it is up for debate. D-shaped serrated teeth line the 6 foot jaws.
