Also known as the "super croc", Sarcosuchus was one of the largest crocodilians to ever live. It lived in Africa and South America during the Early Cretaceous Period. It behaved similarly to the modern crocodile, waiting in the water to ambush prey on the shore, only this crocodile ate dinosaurs. Sarcosuchus was discovered in the 1950s in Aoulef, Algeria and Gara Kamboute, Tunisia by a team led by French paleontologist Albert-Félix de Lapparent.
