   Inostrancevia was a genus of carnivorous therapsid that was the apex predator of the Late Permian. Armed with the some of the deadliest teeth until the Dinosaurs, it was capable of taking down massive ancestors of turtles. Part of the family Gorgonopsidae, Inostrancevia was the largest of them all.
   This species went extinct with numerous other creatures in the huge Permian/Triassic extinction, also known as the Great Dying.
   Inostrancevia was first discovered in Russia during the late 1800s by Professor Vladimir P. Amalitskiiv. Two nearly complete skeletons were unearthed.
   Length: 10.6 to 16.5 Feet
   Weight: 1,200 Pounds
   Height: 3-6 Feet
   Diet: Scutosaurus and other large prey
   Lived: In Russia and Africa during the Late Permian of the Paleozoic Era
   Appearance: Quadruped with sprawled forelimbs. A 2 foot head with 6 inch canines and a small tail. May have been covered in primitive fur.
