Arden's POV

Pam and Claire scrambled all morning to get ready for Belle's one o'clock with a client. They're busy brainstorming with the two creatives whose helping her with her pitch. Then Pam went over the notes one more time.

Belle looks a little nervous especially Pam keep reminding her of the time. They're still working out some adjustment. When pam pointed on the time again.

Belle blinks up at Pam from her desk. "Why don't you join me?"

"Really?

"Hey, you worked hard on helping me prep. Don't you want to see how it goes?"

"Yes, absolutely." Pam pushed to her feet. "Thank you."

Belle looked at Pam with twinkling eyes. "Ready?"

Pam smiled and nods.

Lunch time I have a break in between meetings. I want to spend as much time as I can with Belle before I leave for LA. I pick up the phone to call Belle. Her line was busy. I decided to drop by in her office instead. I went straight to the elevator and press Belle's office floor. A few minutes later I was making my way to her office. I was about to knock when the door opened and a smile froze on Belle's face at the sight of me.

Belle abruptly stopped bottlenecked the threshold and Pam ran into her back, sending her stumbling forward. I caught her by the waist, hauling her off her feet and directly into my chest. I felt the air left her lungs in a rush, even with the layer of clothing between us, I felt her heart beats faster, she sucked in a sharp breath and stimulated by the expansion of her chest.

"Hello," I murmured, my voice vibrated.
Belle flushed with embarrassment and desire, unable to find the will to push me away despite Pam with her. My attention is solely on her.

"Mr. Langley, Sir," Pam said behind her. "Sorry about the entrance." Breaking our moment.

My attention breaks and looks at Pam. "Don't be." I answered. Belle wobbled on her stilletos. "Easy." I reached out and steadied her and ease her gently, my hands at her elbow until I release her. "Where you going?" I then asks.

Still recovering from our moment, my wife caught her tongue. "Yeah, about lunch — I'll take a raincheck." She answered blinking apologetically.

"Meeting?"

"Yes, didn't I mention that this morning?"

Arden leaned closer and whispered. "No."

She ignored me and led the way to the door. I'm walking behind her. The way she moved, with grace and confidence was a major turn on. I stayed with her all the way to the bank of the elevators. I am having small talks with Pam. While Belle is completely ignoring me.

When the elevator car arrived, she looked relief and hastily stepped forward with Pam.

"A moment, Belle." I said smoothly, holding her back with my hand on her elbow. "She'll be right down."I told Pam, as the elevator doors closed on Pam's astonished face.

"Arden, I'm really sorry." Belle inhaled sharply. "I'll make it up to you later this evening."

I didn't say nothing until the car was on it's way down; The ding that signaled the approaching elevator made her jump. "I'll escort you down." We stepped in the elevator and she faced me. The doors closed and she holds into the brass handrail.

"You're not busy?"

"I always have a free time for you." I smiled.

"I'm really sorry. I felt guilty." She apologizes.
