Chapter 35

Monday

Alex POV
"Okay so why was I called into Dean's office today to be asked about fifty questions on your and Jeffersons relationship?" Hercules asks walking into John's room while we organize his stuff before we pack it up.

"Jefferson and I got caught making out in the hallway so we got sent in and I decided to tell her." I say, "Oh my God! That's amazing!" she yells excitedly.

"Okay, enough. Let's please just pack up my boyfriends stuff so we can move in with each other." I say and John laughs pulling me into a hug, "Impatient much." Peggy says and I roll my eyes, John kisses me on the nose.

"Yeah but we do actually want to finish this room today so we can do Lafs room tomorrow and your new apartment." Eliza says and we all nod in agreement.

"Yeah, it's just a few more things and then we can get the moving van to get all the boxes to the apartment." John says as he continues to pack up his clothes. I start taking his books off the shelves and packing them into the assigned boxes.

"Hey Alex, can you hand me that snow globe." Laf says pointing to the snow globe on John's desk. I pick it up and look at it, "This is London." I say looking at Big Ben covered in little peices of fake snow. "Yeah, I went there with my mom and dad before she died. It was beautiful." John says looking at the snow globe.

I give it to Laf and he wraps it in bubble wrap, "A spring wedding in London would be beautiful." John says and I look at him with wide eyes, "Wait, no! I didn't mean it like that!" he exclaims, "I was just stating the fact!" Angie giggles and starts packing up books with me.

I look away from John, both our faces are red. We continue to pack up his stuff in silence. Once we had gotten everything packed up we called a moving van, "They'll be here tomorrow." John says once he got off the phone.

"Well, we have one more room to unpack and an entire apartment to repack. So let's go do that last room." I say as we go back to the other dorm to pack up Lafayette's stuff.

We start by sorting things out and then begin filling boxes, by the time we have gotten halfway it's already 7:43 so we decide to take a break for Chinese food, something we rarely get.

We sit around the TV and eat just talking about random shit like we always do. I couldn't take my mind off of what John said earlier, he's right though. A spring wedding in London would be beautiful. But not for us, right? We've only been dating for five months! And besides, I'm not of legal age to get married. But maybe in the future...

"Alex! You alive in there?" Eliza asks me waving her hand in front of my face, "Huh? Oh yeah, sorry." I say as my train of thought breaks. "Eat your food, it's getting cold." Herc says as I resume eating in silence.

"You're never quite during dinner, is something wrong?" Peggy asks and I shake my head, "No, I'm just thinking.." I reply and resume my silence. They all look at each other nervously but continue to talk.

We decide it's better to finish packing up Lafs room now so we don't have to do it tomorrow while John and I need to unpack our stuff into the apartment so we finish packing up Lafs stuff and finish at around quarter to eleven.

The girls head to their dorms and we walk back to Hercs. He grabs us a blanket so we can sleep on the couch. They head into Hercs room after saying goodnight and John lies down on the couch. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier." he says and I shake my head, "No, you didn't say anything wrong." I say lying down on top of him.

"You were right though. A spring wedding in London would be beautiful..." he looks at me, "Yeah." we stay silent for a bit, "Do you ever think about that? Getting married? Not to me of course! But like in general." I ask and he nods.

"Yeah, of course I do. Who doesn't?" I move a bit and lie down next to him instead, "Do you think, our relationship will ever go that far?" I ask, he stays silent for a moment. "I hope it does."

I look at him with hopeful eyes and he kisses me. I lie my head on his chest and listen to his steady heart beat. "I hope so too.." I say before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
