Chapter 2

Monday

John POV
It was around 14:03 when I walked out of my room to find Alexander sitting on the couch facing Peggy, his hair is now in a messy bun and Peggy is applying makeup to his face, "Giving him a full makeover?" I ask, Peggy nods her head, "He's going to be the prettiest princess when I'm done with him." she added, I laughed and sat down on the floor facing them.

"So, what are you studying?" Hercules asked walking up behind me, "I'm studying art." I replied, "And you?" he sat down on the other end of the couch, "Fashion design." he said, "Thats cool, what about you two?" I asked looking at Peggy and Alex, "Law." replied Alex, "I'm not really studying anything specific." Peggy said, "I'm here for Alex and my sisters."

Then without warning the door burst open, "We're back bitches!" yelled a tall girl with dark skin and long curly hair she had half up, she was carrying a pizza box. Behind her was another girl with caucasian skin and strait dark hair and a guy with tanned skin and curly hair he had tied up. They were also carrying pizza boxes.

"What took you so long?!" Peggy yelled, "We got caught up, Angie got into a fight with Jefferson." said the girl with the straight hair, "I will defend my friends!" the other girl yelled placing the pizza boxes on the counter, she then turned to me and looked confused.

"Whose the new guy?" she asked, "I'm John Laurens." I said, "He's my new roommate." Hercules added, "Oh!" said the girl with the straight hair. "I'm Eliza Schuyler." she said with a smile, "Angelica Schuyler, but you can call me Angie." said the other girl, "Lafayette." said the guy with a thick French accent. "When did you get here?" asked Angie, "About ten minutes ago." I replied.

The three of them grabbed seats, "Alex you look gorgeous." Eliza said looking at Alex, "Thanks Eliza." he replied. Angie turned to me, "Okay John, we're gonna ask you questions to make sure you can hang out with us." she said simply, "Okay." I replied nervously.

Alex POV
We had been questioning John for about a half an hour and it was actually pretty fun. We had learned that John turned 19 three days ago, he is the eldest of five, two brothers and two sisters, his mother is dead but his father is a very caring man, he is great at drawing, he loves turtles and has a pet tortoise at home and to top it all off, he hates Trump! This is going great so far.

"Okay, this is the last question." Herc said in a very serious tone, "If we have different opinions on this, you can't be friends with us." John looked scared, "I'm getting nervous." he said, "You should be." said Peggy who had finished my makeup, I was now lying on her lap.

"Okay!" said Herc, "What is your opinion on the LGBTQ+ community?" he asked, John looked a little bit nervous but then replied, "I, uh, I'm gay." he said, we all went silent for a second and then Herc smiled, "Phew! That's good." he said, "I was nervous, you seem like a great guy!" John looked confused, "So? Am I okay?" he asked, "Yeah of course!" Eliza said and hugged him, John smiled.

"Wait! You can't make me do that and not tell me your sexualities as well!" John yelled, we all laughed, "I'm lesbian." said Peggy, "Gay." said Lafayette, "Bi." said Herc pulling Laf onto his lap, "Bi." I said and Peggy patted my head, "We're straight but we will be happy to gossip about hot boys with you." Angie said and Eliza giggled.

"Welcome to our group." Peggy smiled. Angie turned on the music and handed him a slice of pizza.

John POV
The questions weren't that bad and they even told me some stuff about themselves, the Schuyler sisters are rich, Lafayette is an immagrant from France and Alexander is a immagrant from St. Croix who was born in Nevis and is fluent in French, not to mention that most of them are gay! I'm not alone! Also Alex is bi so I have a shot!

Lafayette, Angelica, Alexander and Hercules are 19, Eliza is 18 and Peggy is 17. That's what they told me anyways.

We continued to talk until around 16:15 when we decided to get out of the dorms and go to the park or something. We started walking down the hall to get to the front of the building when we ran into a group of guys and a girl. A bald, dark skinned man, a dark skinned man with short hair, a tanned skin man who was also bald, a tanned skin girl with long curly hair and the dude I bumped into before I got to my dorm.

"Ooh! Look who it is." said the rude man, "Shut up Jefferson!" yelled Angie, "Oh, it's the guy who doesn't look where he's walking." he said eyeing me, "Actually, you weren't looking where you were going." I said back, he just rolled his eyes.

"Allow me to introduce myself." said the dark skinned, bald one, "My name is Aaron Burr." "John Laurens." I said, "This is James Reynolds." he said gesturing to the tanned bald man, "James Madison." he said pointing to the dark skinned man with the short hair, "This is Maria Lewis." he said and pointed to the girl, "And you've already met Thomas." he said pointing to the rude guy.

Jefferson walked forward and looked at Alex, "Hey there sexy~" he said in a sly tone, Angelica stepped in front of Alex, "You wanna go?" Jefferson stepped back, "Got yourself some body guards?" he laughed, Peggy took Alex's hand and whispered something in his ear. I looked back to Angelica and Jefferson just in time to see her punch him in the jaw, he stumbled backwards, "You disgust me." she said.

We left before anything else could happen and made our way down to the park. Lafayette and Alex were having a conversation in French just to annoy the rest of us, and Eliza added me to their private group chat.

We sat down on some benches and just talked about random stuff until we decided to head back up, I noticed Alex looked tense but ignored it. He probably just hates Jefferson as much as the rest.
