Chapter 20

Alex POV
It's Christmas eve, the tree went up this morning and I helped Bella decorate it. From the lights to the ornaments, right to the star on the top. She enjoyed decorating her first tree, I got to help decorate the tree at the Schuyler's when we had Christmas.

It was 9:30 and we were all getting pretty tired. We were sitting on the couch, I was texting John.

[tomcat has entered the chat]

tomcat: I miss you so much!

[gayturtle has entered the chat]

gayturtle: The holidays are a nightmare with my family! I just want to hold you

tomcat: At least we'll see each other on New Years

gayturtle: I can't wait that loooooong! I need you now!

I must have been smiling because Washington said, "Alex, if you miss him that much, invite him over. He can stay for a week or something." I looked up at him surprised, "Wait really?" I asked and he smiled, "Sure. You two can share a bed." my face went bright red and Martha laughed, Bella looked at her confused.

tomcat: Hey baby, you wanna come stay a week here?

gayturtle: ...wait seriously?

tomcat: Yeah! It'll be fun!

gayturtle: I'd love to, I'll ask my dad

I wait for a minute.

gayturtle: He said yes, when can I come?

I look up at Washington, "When can he come?" I ask, "27th to the 2nd is good." he said.

tomcat: Washington says from the 27th to the 2nd

gayturtle: This is gonna be great!

tomcat: I can't wait for you to meet Bella, she's gonna love you. She already does and she hasn't even met you!

gayturtle: Did you tell her about me?

tomcat: Maybe a little...

gayturtle: Good things I hope.

tomcat: Trust me, all good things.

gayturtle: I can't wait to see you again

tomcat: Neither can I. See you in a few days baby. I love you.

gayturtle: I love you too <3

[tomcat has left the chat]

I put my phone down and Bella snuggles up to me, "Are you tired?" I ask and she silently nods her head, I pick her up bridal style and she keeps her head ducked into my chest.

I carry her up to her bedroom, they decorated it nicely. They got pastal purple wallpaper with butterflies, a single bed with a white bed frame and purple bedding, a light pink carpet, white curtains and a dark brown wardrobe.

I put her down on her bed and she climbed in, "Night night Alexander." she said sleepily, "Night Bella." I say, I switch on her night light and exit her room leaving the door slightly open. I walk back downstairs to grab my phone, "You're gonna help Santa put out the presents." Washington says handing me a bag.

"Sure." I say, we unpack all the presents and put them under the tree and filling up the stockings. I yawn as I realize I haven't slept in a while, I've been so preoccupied with work. I've been pulling all nighters because Bella really wants to play outside in the snow during the day so I don't get much time to study.
