*This Chapter Includes Fighting/Panic attacks*
Shuichi POV~
As I was holding Kokichi by his checkered scarf, I looked into his eyes. They began to fill with tears, and Kokichi's eyebrows made his expression seem like he was in a lot of pain. He was shaking and squeezing my wrist tightly, and his breathing had sped up a lot. He was having a panic attack. "Ouma-Kun..." I let go of him and he fell to the ground, breathing heavily and silently crying.
I took a step back, completely shocked about what I had just done. "I'm... so sorry..." He finally looked back up at me, his eyes flooded with tears. "Ouma I really didn't mean to hurt you! I'm so sorry I over reacted!" I bent down and put my hand out to him, but he instantly pulled his hand back. My heart dropped. What the hell did I just do... it's wasn't my fault right? He made me so angry! "Saihara..." I looked back to Kokichi who still trembling on the floor. "You're..." he still didn't even look up at me. I wanted to embrace him so bad but... "You're the worst!!" His head whipped back as he yelled, tears streaming down his face. I fell back onto my hands out of pure shock. Without another word, he picked himself up off the floor with his arm covering his eyes and ran for the door. "Ouma-Kun! H-Hold on please wait-!" The door slammed behind him.
The sound echoed through the now empty library, and I was just sitting here on the floor, clutching my chest. Why did I do that? Why would I attack him like that? He just pissed me off so much... there's no way I'm in the wrong here... after what he said I can't be! I sat on the floor for another minute, still processing what had just happened. I just attacked Kokichi, causing him to have a panic attack and run away... I clenched my chest even tighter. The More I thought about it the angrier I got with Kokichi. "I need to leave..." I said to myself quietly. I slowly got to my knees and stood up, still a little dazed after what just occurred. I picked my book up off the floor and dusted the remaining grime off it, and headed for the door. But before I walked past the small lounge, I noticed Kokichi's comic book face down open on the floor. I picked it up and flipped it to the front to read the title "Your lie in April.." I read allowed. Heh... Kokichi most likely picked this one based on the fact that it had lie in the name. How like him... I slipped the comic into my own book and walked out of the library, heading back to my room.
When I finally reached my room I threw myself onto my small creaky bed. I rolled over and began to stare at the ceiling, my head spinning with thoughts. What if he hates you now? He probably hates you... but he deserves it! Right? What he said was so out of line! but so was what I did... and what if he was only lying to me? Maybe he didn't mean what he said! But on the other hand, Kokichi seemed quiet genuine with me today... so what if he does hate me now- will he stop bothering me? What if now he just leaves me alone! This is what I wanted! "I wanted this...?" I spoke out loud after a while of just staring. I know that I did want Kokichi to stop bothering me... but not like this. I sighed and rolled over to my side, my headache increasingly growing the more and more I thought about it. I just need sleep... and I can fix this all in the morning. I thought to myself, but it was going to be a lot more complicated than that.
I was awoken like every morning for the past 3 weeks to the ear-splitting sound of Monokuma screaming through the loudspeakers.
"GOOOOD MORNING STUDENTS! Time to get up and start a productive day! Sadly, no body's have been discovered, and I'm honestly kinda disappointed in you all. JUST GET TO KILLING EACH OTHER ALREADY!"
The loudspeaker cut off as I pulled my pillow off my head, which I had been using to block out the sound. I sluggishly got myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom. The previous night I had passed out on my bed in my clothes after my fight with Kokichi... Kokichi! I suddenly remembered everything that had happened the night before, and I rushed to get ready. I quickly combed my hair and put my hat on to hide any remaining knots. I held myself up against the wall as I quickly slipped my shoes on, trying to hurry as much as I could to find Kokichi before we went to breakfast. I quickly left my room and started down the hall to the dinning hall, hoping to meet Kokichi along the way. I reached the dining hall and looked inside I see Miu...Kaito... Maki... where is Kokichi? "Saihara-Chan?" I quickly spun around to see the purple haired boy standing there in front of me. He was all alone.
"Oh! Ouma-Kun!" I stuttered. I really need to talk to him about yesterday, I just gotta ask Him to come to the- "Good morning, Saihara." What? I looked up and saw Kokichi brush past me quickly, and grab himself a seat... alone... in the dining hall. did he just call me... Saihara? He had always refused to call me that and had insisted on calling me Saihara-Chan or Shumai... is he that mad at me? I quietly stood in the door frame, just staring at the back of his head. What do I even do now? He won't even talk to me... "SIDEKICK!" Suddenly an arm wrapped around my shoulder, causing me to jolt in fear "AHH!" "Oh! Sorry about that bud! Didn't mean to scare you!" Kaito harshly rubbed his fist into the top of my head. "Why are you standing here all alone? Come join us and have some food!" Before I could refuse, Kaito was already dragging me to his table.
He threw me into a seat and ran to get me something to eat. Maki and Miu were sitting in front of me bickering about something, but I wasn't paying attention to them. I watched Kokichi silently play with his food, his face resting on his hand. He looked so sad and... lonely. "Here you go Shuichi!" Kaito slammed a large bowl of miso soup in front of me, making my heart skip a beat while I pulled me eyes off of Kokichi. "Oh... thanks Kaito." "It's no big deal, anything for my sidekick!" Kaito pulled up a chair next to me and stared going on and on about something I'm assuming had to do with space, but I couldn't help but just admire Kokichi. I never realized how alone he actually was. I mean, Kaito hangs around me sometimes and so does Maki and Miu... but Kokichi only hangs out with... me. "Shuichi?" "Oh? Uh, sorry.. did you say something?" "I asked if you wanted to go to the garden with Me, Maki and Miu?" "Oh," I had planned on staying behind to talk to Kokichi, but he didn't seen like he wanted to talk to me anyways. "Earth to Shuichiii?" Kaito waved his hand in front of my face as if I wasn't paying attention, which I wasn't. "Uh- sure?" "GREAT!" Kaito instantly shot up from his seat and slammed his hand on the table. "Then off we go!" I began to follow them, but first I shot a quick glance in Kokichi direction. He was still sitting there by himself, now totally alone In the whole dining hall. He didn't even look at me once that whole time. "Hurry up mr. detective!" "Oh! S-Sorry!"
