Shuichi POV~ (The next paragraph is more of a narrator perspective of Shuichi talking, but the story will return to it's normal POV once that paragraph has ended)By now, it's been three days since Rantaro's trial. Everything had seemed to die down a bit with that whole ordeal, and Kokichi and I had decided to keep things between us on the down-low. I mean, we aren't dating or anything, but we still didn't want to bring anything up about what happened under the willow tree to the others. We hang out often, a little too often in my opinion, yet I'm still feeling a bit disappointed. Since that day, nothing else has actually happened between us. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly happy to have him by my own side, but it's so different. He's changed a lot, and honestly for the better. Everything has been going pretty well! Well... that is, up until now...
"A body has been discovered!"
...
"Shuichi, hurry up!" Kokichi yelled to me as we rushed through the halls, trying to find the discovery sight. I brought my eyes up to catch a glance of a clock, the time reading 10:47 pm. Damn- someone was lurking around the halls after hours in hopes of blood... if I had left Kokichi's room, that easily could have been me. It's only been three days, how could something like this happen?? "There!" I moved my eyes back to Kokichi, he extended his arm to point to a gathering of the students, all staring at the floor. W-What? In the hallway?? No way someone had the guts to do something like that... but as we approached the others, it was clear someone had taken the chance. Blood covered the hall's floor, splattering halfway up the wall. The others all stepped back as it seeped out more and more, extending its puddle of the thick liquid. In the middle of it all, laid a body, a knife still sticking out of their back. And that body belonged to...
It's Angie...
"Wha- What the hell?!" Kaito stepped away from the body, the blood near his feet touching the bottoms of his shoes. Everyone's eyes were wide, staring down at the floor in pure disbelief. "Oh my god..." I muttered under my breath as I slowly walked forward, looking over the lifeless body in shock. Three days... that's all it took. Just three days. Blood continued to pour from the body, coloring the floor with the horrendous, gruesome sight. This is new and quite careless... who would kill someone so hastily? "Wow, you kids are sure getting down to business!" From around the corner strutted the one and only Monokuma, a devilish grin over his face. "This is the first murder that took place in the open, that's quite interesting!" He was clearly amused by the new victim, but something was off. He looked a bit... concerned? "Angie... someone killed Angie..." Himiko's voice trailed off as she stared at the floor, tears forming at the corners of her eyes. "We shouldn't waste any time crying," Kokichi turned to Himiko, "It wouldn't do us anything. Yes, someone killed Angie, so now it's our job to figure out who and move on. It's just like every other time."
That's not the best thing to say to someone crying over their dead friend... but Kokichi didn't seem the slightest bit bothered by what he had said. Himiko, on the other hand, didn't take his words well. "S-Screw you Ouma!" She wailed at him, tears now rushing down her face. "It's not like every other time to me! Angie was my friend... just because she's dead doesn't mean I can't mourn her!" Kokichi's eyes grew wide, his face now seeming much more empathetic. "I didn't mean it like that-" "I don't care how you meant it!" Himiko cut him off by yelling again, acting extremely out of character. "You're heartless. You don't care about anyone..." Her tone lowered while she glared at him, her face flushed red from straining her voice. She then turned to look back at Angie, her expression changing from anger to guilt. I could tell she was unable to look at the body much longer, soon, she shifted and started to walk away. "Himiko!" Tenko followed after her, turning the corner to leave the rest of us in silence. This... this is really bad.
