*There's a little kissing in this chapter, you have been warned!! hehe*
Shuichi POV~
What... what did he just call him? I suddenly stopped dead in the middle of the hallway as the two of them continued to walk back the way we had come. Did he just call Him... Kokichi? My throat began to feel dry and my ears started to grow hot. I could hear my heart pounding louder and louder the more I thought about it. I... I never even called him Kokichi out loud... are they already that close? I glanced behind me to see Kokichi still hanging onto Rantaro's arm, his head resting on the side of this striped shirt. Rantaro had his arm around Kokichi's upper back and rested it on his shoulder... they looked like... lovers. The hallway seemed to begin to spin. My head began to hurt due to the loud pounding of my heart in my ears, and it felt as if the whole hallway with filled with high pressure tension. I thought I was gonna pass out. "Shuichi?"
Maki lightly placed a hand on my shoulder "Are you ok?" I spun back around to the small group that was waiting for me in the hallway, all looking somewhat concerned. "No, I just-" I glanced back to where Kokichi and Rantaro had been walking but... they were already gone. "I'm fine. Just lost in thought." I began to walk towards the garden, now trying to choke back my horrid feeling with a knot growing in my throat. "We can go to the garden now" the three of them exchanged worried looks, but soon continued after me. I arrived at the garden doors before anyone else, as I had been quickly walking ahead to stop anyone to see my red face and teary eyes. I couldn't get the sight of Kokichi looking into Rantaro's eyes out of my head, and it just made me want to cry even more. I need to stop thinking about it I told myself I can't go ruining everyone else's day with my problems. I took a deep breath as the other approached me at the door.
"Sorry for going a bit ahead you guys, I didn't notice I was walking so fast." Why was I lying so much? I didn't want to tell them the real reason... "No worries partner!" Kaito backed me up with some confidence in his voice. "Now we can all finally hangout!" Kaito leaned over us and pushed the doors open before strutting inside. Wooow, this place is huge! The inside of the garden was filled with flowers and plants, but the aroma of the flowers was overwhelming. The light spewing through the top of the garden's ceiling looked like sunlight, but it was obliviously just a light. A couple of butterflies fluttered by my face as I admired the place. It was really gorgeous. "Well, let's eat!" Kaito's masculine voice broke the calm silence, causing the group of butterflies to quickly scatter. "Eat?" I questioned. "Yeah! The day before Maki and I came out here and set up a picnic for us all!" I was quite surprised that Maki would have anything to do involving making a picnic with Kaito, but she had seemed to be acting differently around him lately... "NO FUCKING WAY?!" Mui yelled excitedly "You got us food?? I would have wanted to actually come if you told me that!" Kaito and Maki both gave Miu a stern glare before the both of them began to walk to a little spot in the garden hidden behind the trees.
It was completely unnoticeable from the sight of the garden, but when he got up close to it you could see it's a secret passageway. Miu and I clumsy walked over branches and vines as we tried to find our way to the back of the tree, but once we reached it we both were shocked. It was strung with fairy lights and a little picnic blanket was neatly placed over the rough ground, it was covered in easy to make food from the kitchen. "Woah.." I Exhaled "You guys did this?" "Yeah!" Kaito threw his arm around Maki and she instantly pushed him off. "It was mostly Kaito, you can tell because most of the food is burnt." "HEY AT LEAST I ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTED!" "Oh, and I didn't? I helped with the-" My mind began to drift and they bickered. This place is so beautiful! This would be the most amazing place to take someone on a date... the lights make it so romantic, and the table cloth would be perfect for laying down and talking about our feelings. I could just stare into his soft, violet eyes and we could- wait. I brought my own thoughts to a sudden stop. Violet... eyes? I felt my face start to be consumed by a vibrant color of pink blush and I thought to myself what I had just said in my head. He was the first person that came to my mind when I was thinking about kissing someone... is that how I really feel about him? I shook my head and covered my face with my hands, now flushed and hot.
