The day after, I woke up feeling lofty and dizzy as ever. I even had nausea, which I don't typically get whenever I am drunk.
Speaking without pretense, I can't retain everything that occurred yesterday. I can fondly recall some, but only minor fragments of our candid conversation at the back of his car. The sole thing that I can recollect is; he carried me to my unit, that's all.
Nevertheless, I was still efficient to function properly. I prudently decided to attend classes today because it will be such a terrible waste if I won't show up.
Upon arriving at the living room of the 10th floor, my eyes instantly spotted Naeun, Lisa, and Mrs. Kim. The two girls were having breakfast while the latter is, as usual, mopping the floor.
"Good morning!" I greeted enthusiastically Lisa and Naeun with a simper.
Lisa was able to wave back while Naeun's face went irritable unknowingly.
"Good morning, Mrs. Kim," I discreetly to Mrs. Kim which earned a scoff from her.
I am used to Mrs. Kim being like that hence I politely ignored her and walked my way to Lisa and Naeun's spot.
"Good morning, Rosé!" Lisa exclaimed.
I smiled at her then to Naeun.
"Would you mind if I ask you something?" Naeun blurted out.
I was a bit taken aback but soon after answered her.
"Sure," I justly said.
"What is the name of the man who carried you in your room?" she asked eagerly; blushing a little.
I frowned portentously. Wait, why is she interrogating me about Jaehyun?
"He's Jaehyun," I vainly tried to stay calm.
"Hmm. He's remarkably good looking and eloquent. I get to talk to him for a minute and can say he's interesting," She carefully says, "You two... you are not together, right?"
"We're not together," I bitterly stated.
Why am I feeling a sour feeling in my chest? We are not together. What I just said is true so what bothers me?
"Can you set us two up?" Naeun straightforwardly says.
My sensitive heart sank wearily like a shabby glove of polar ice, encasing my heart as a cage keeps a tropical bird. Anytime soon, I can break. What is this feeling, seriously...
I swallowed convulsively, "I-I'll try to ask him."
Naeun smiled sweetly, "Thanks! You are the best."
I smiled ironically at her too. This is the first time she smiled at me. I can't keep that promise, though. I, in fact, have no plans of telling this to Jaehyun since I know he's not up for it... or he is?
