Jaehyun's POV

The last meeting wasn't followed by another, and I think I know the reason why. Junhoe maybe doesn't relish the idea of his cousin meddling with his affairs.

"Junhoe," I called him out – trying my utmost best to stay collected even though I'm feeling certain anger over him.

"Yeah?" He asked while wearing his usual sappy and sheepish smile.

"Do you love your girlfriend?" I asked.

I saw how his expression changed drastically after I finished.

"What are you talking about?" he frowned.

"I am just asking. I haven't seen the two of you together so I want to ask if you're serious about her or you're just playing around." I casually said.

"Of course, I am serious about her. I do love my girlfriend as well to answer your question," He clenched his jaw. "But why are you asking me this?"

"I saw you the other time with another girl. I had to ask. I didn't know that you're still playing even though you're already serious, like what you're telling me." I arrogantly chuckled.

Surprise washed his face but it was converted into a grim expression.

"So right after you find out, you'll say this to her?"

"If I have any plans on saying it to her, why would I tell you? Tough luck, Junhoe." I jerked my head and smirked.

"You are not in the right position to tell all of this, Jaehyun so it is better if you keep this to yourself," He said. "Besides, I doubt she'll believe your words. Based on what she told me about you, she despises you because you are arrogant and harsh."

I pressed my lips together as my expression went sullen.

I hate the fact that he's right. Rosé will not believe and accept any of my words and I can state every reason why. First, because she trusts Junhoe and second, she dislikes me – or abhors me even.

Apart from that, who in their right mind would consign someone who made you cry at your first meeting?

-

I've already accepted my fate that I won't have any window of opportunity to talk to her again. Many years had passed, and I've already graduated from my pre-med, and yet, I'm still hoping to at least have a chance of talking to her again.

I haven't seen her on the campus again. I rarely see her during family and socialite events because we're not in the same circle of friends. Junhoe never asked for my favor again.
