Tony had thought that leaving Peter alone for a few minutes would be fine, he was just going a few isles away from the boy, but of course he was wrong and Peter had to pay the price of his mistake.

He was looking around, trying to find the boy, when he came running up to him looking very panicked. His hand gripped tightly onto the sleeve of Tonys suit as he looked behind him before turning to the man again. "T-the man, h-he I don't k-know.." he jumbled out.

"Hey, hey, shh. buddie, don't worry, take a deep breath and explain." he tried to calm the boy but it was no use. "No, no no no...I want to g-go home." he said, pleading with the man.

"Alright, I'll pay then we can go, okay?" Peter nodded but tucked himself further against the man and didn't move away. Tony quickly paid for the clothes when he felt a small hand grab his. Looking down, he saw Peter holding his hand while looking over at a man across the store.

He wasn't sure exactly what happened but he had an idea so he quickly finished and left the store in a hurry.

When they arrived back in the car, Tony turned to face Peter who was staring intently at his hands which were situated in his lap. "You going to tell me what happened back there?" he started.

Peter didn't respond for a moment, most likely preparing himself. "S-someone tried to take me, I don't k-know where.." he shivered slightly, but Tony knew it wasn't because he was cold. "God Pete.." he whispered, gently bringing the boys head to rest on his shoulder while he ran his hands through the boys hair.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have left you alone like that. I'm so stupid.."

"No, please stop blaming yourself, I g-got away so it's fine." he tried to interject. Tony let out a deep breath and closed his eyes, allowing himself to relish in the fact that Peter was okay.

"Let's just...let's just go home." he muttered after a minute, pulling away from Peter to start the car. The boy nodded and rearranged himself in his seat so he was comfortable, looking out the window as they drove back to the Tower.

They got back just before dinner and sorted through the clothes they bought, Peter trying on the different items he didn't get a chance to in the store. "That looks great." Tony complimented when he tried on the shirt he picked out. It was a navy blue short-sleeve with small white strips on it.

"Yeah well, of course you would say that." Peter said, staring at himself in the mirror. "Yeah, and I'm always correct." he stated. "Whatever.." the boy muttered as he went to pick out the suit.

A few minutes passed before he came back out dressed in a matching blazer and trousers, white shirt and red tie. "Pete, you look amazing in a suit!" Tony exclaimed, standing up to fix his tie slightly. "Really?" Peter looked down at himself self-consciously. The man nodded, standing behind Peter in the mirror, ruffling his hair.

"Now we got the clothes how about we go eat? I'm starving."

Before Peter went to bed he decided to talk to Tony, he felt bad after what happened that day, it felt like all he did was bring bad luck to the man. He quietly left his room, hoping that Tony was alone, and hesitantly walked over to his bedroom door.

He waited outside for a few moments before he knocked. The door opened to reveal Tony, dressed in a simple baggy t-shirt and sweatpants looking rather tired.
"Wha..Pete?" he said.

"I-I, maybe I should come back later, you're clearly tired, I'm sorry-" He turned to leave but Tony held him back, clearly confused about the situation but not just going to leave it. "Pete, it's fine, this must be important, come in." Tony opened the door and Peter followed in awkwardly, he had never been in the mans room and it was way bigger than he expected.

The boy couldn't help but gape at the size, it was massive with a huge balcony, hot tub, and luxury Queen size bed with a marble white bathroom. Tony chuckled and patted the space beside him on the bed.

"So, what's up?" he questioned.

There was a moment of silence before Peter spoke, it was so soft Tony had to strain his ears to here it.

"I'm sorry." Tony pondered on that for a few moments.

"What exactly are you sorry for?"

"Because..all I ever do is bring back luck, whenever we do anything something bad happens and it's always to do with me. And...I'm sorry you have to deal with that." he finished, flushing slightly when he realised he rambled.

Tony sighed and pulled the boy into an unexpected hug, though it didn't go unappreciated. "Look kid, I may not tell you this enough but..you mean alot to me and, don't think I don't want you here because I do. You've...made my life better, and, whatever happens, nothing can change that."

Peter had a few tears threatening to escape his closed eyes but he held them in tightly. "Thank you, you mean alot to me too." he said quietly, tightning his hold.

Tonys heart swelled at the words coming out the boys mouth, he honestly didn't deserve this angel child right in front of him. "Thanks kid." he said, trying not to make the emotion in his voice obvious.

They stayed like that for a few minutes until Tony realised that Peters breathing had evened out and he was fast asleep. He gently picked the boy up in his arms, ignoring the slight twinge of pain in his lower back, and carried him back to his room.

Laying Peter down he tucked him in and planted a kiss on his forehead, smoothing back the curls that surrounded his peaceful face. "Night Pete." he whispered, flicking off the slight switch and closing the door.

He went to bed that night with only one thought in his head, if someone had asked him 10 years ago what he thought he would be doing now, he definitley would not have said tucking a 15 year old into bed.
