this contains some sad feels, my poor baby peter :(
After Bruce had figured it out he left to go and work on an antidote, that would hopefully renew Peter's powers, Tony didn't know how it could be possible but he trusted his friend. Meanwhile, Peter was laying silently on the bed, having not spoken a word since Bruce had told him the news.
He couldn't bare to think that he had lost Spiderman, the one thing he knew he would always have, gone? No, no chance. The tears were already falling, but he didn't care, he couldn't bring himself to care.
Not when it felt like his world was crumbling around him.
Tony slowly sat down on the bed next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Shh, it's okay." he tried to calm him.
"N-no, no. D-don't say t-that." Peter cried, tucking himself further into a ball, his shoulders still shaking.
"I'm sorry bud."
"M-make it s-stop, p-please D-d-dad..." Peter whimpered, shaking even harder.
Tony felt tears fill his eyes and he silently pulled Peter up and into his arms, one arm going around his torso and his other hand cradling his head. The boy sobbed harder and wrapped his arms around Tony's neck, ignoring the growing pain in his ankle and ribs.
They stayed quiet for a while, just Tony comforting Peter while the boy cried into his shoulder. "I'm so sorry kid." Tony murmerd after a moment, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop the unimaginable pain his son was going through.
Eventually Peter quietened down, his cries stopping and his breathing returning to its normal beat. Tony checked his watch and realised it was almost 5:00pm already.
"Want me to get you something to eat?" He asked quietly, still running a hand up and down the boy's back.
"N-no, I'm good thanks."
The man resisted the urge to repremand him, knowing Bruce would have his head for not feeding him but Peter was in a fragile state, he didn't want to risk it.
"Do, do you think I could um, maybe...visit May?" Peter asked timidly, surprising the man.
"Of course bud, anything you want." Tony replied, knowing his son would want some time with his Aunt.
"Let's get ready."

With the all clear from Bruce, Happy drove them both to where May was buried, Peter sat quietly in the back with Tony, his head leaning heavily against the window. He watched as the raindrops that had started to fall an hour before cascaded down the window, imagining them all in a race, trying to guess which one would reach the bottom first.
In a way he felt like he was in a race, constantly having to fight and keep moving despite everything that surrounded him, despite everything that weighed down on him like a ton of bricks. Ever since Tony had saved him the world felt like a different place, he put on a brave smile for the sake of everyone that surrounded him but deep down he felt like a mess.
Nothing was the same, sitting on the couch to watch a film still felt odd, being able to eat still felt like a luxury and seeing his Dad still felt like a dream. And the hardest part of all it was that no one could understand.
The only person he felt he could talk to was May, that's why he wanted to go and see her. Somehow everything was better when he talked to her, all of his nerves disapparated and he felt free.
Safe.
The boy anxiously scratched at the back of hand as they drove, the idea of being out again was abnormal, the last time he was out..well...
He shut his eyes and shook his head solidly, no, he wasn't going to think like that. He felt Tony softly grab his hand to stop him from creating anymore red marks and kiss his head.
Just a quiet reminder that he was there.
It made him think about Ned, and MJ, he really missed them. He hoped they weren't too worried, maybe he could convince Tony to let them visit. God knows he wasn't ready for school yet.
"Thanks Hap."
Tony's voice brought him back to reality and he got out the car without another word, shivering slightly at the unexpected coldness. He made his way over to the graveyard, not caring if Tony wanted to come with him, he really needed some space, time away from everything.

Peter walked through the rain towards May's grave, hands shoved into the small pockets of his jacket to try to saver the warmth. He sniffed as a few tears spilled down his cheeks, not bothering to wipe them away, instead continuting his walk.
When he reached her grave he fell on his knees, reaching up a hand to grab at the side of the grave. "M-may.."
he gasped out, swallowing away the tears threatening to escape.
"I-i d-don't know w-what to d-do, I'm s-sorry."
He pulled his hand away and cried into his hands, "H-help me p-lease.." he whispered, more sobs escaping his mouth. The rain had soaked through his jumper and shirt chilling him to the bone, he shivered as a few raindrops ran down under his shirt and onto his chest.
"I l-love y-ou M-may." he said, "I'm s-sorry f-for e-everything.."
He stood up, tears still streaming down his face and walked back to the chair, not bothering to pull up his hood since his hair was already soaked. He wished May was still alive, all he wanted was to talk to her properly and hug her. He missed her now more than ever.
The boy looked up and spotted Tony leaning against the car, who seemed to spot him at the same time. "Pete-"
He cut the man off by just engulfing him in a hug, not saying anything just hugging him tightly. Tony wrapped his arms around him in return and gently carded a hand through his hair.
"You alright?" The man whispered, pulling back to look at the boy's face.
"N-no, but I will be."
Tony nodded and lead Peter into the car before wrapping him in a warm blanket. "I'm sure we can persuade Steve to make us a hot chocolate." he murmed, causing the boy to smile alittle.
Peter pulled the blanket tighter arond his small frame and leaned against Tony who put an arm around him. Everything would be fine.
In all good time.
