Peter felt his phone buzz in his pocket when he sat down on his bed back at the hotel, they had eaten when they got back and he had been waiting for Tony to call ever since. He rushed to accept and grinned when he heard his Dad's voice.

"Hey Pete."

"Hi Dad! How was your day?" he asked, arranging his pillows so he could lie down comfortably.

"Same old, same old. I assume yours was good? Too good to text your old man?" Tony joked.

"I'm sorry, I was so busy getting ready and then we were late for breakfast so I had to grab toast, then we had to run to the bus and-"

"Pete, pete, it's okay don't worry. I know you teenagers enjoy having your fun but shooting a quick text every so often wouldn't hurt." Tony reassured.

"Yeah I know, how's Loki by the way? I haven't talked to him or the others for awhile." he ventured, in truth he had no idea what the team had been up while he had been away, he missed Steve's cooking and Clint's jokes and Loki's constant teasing of Tony and training with Nat and-

"Earth to Spiderman!" He was snapped out of his daydream by Tony's voice brining him back to Earth.

"You kinda zoned out you okay?"

"Yeah yeah, just...missing home I guess." he admitted.

There was a small pause on the other end before Peter heard some shuffling around.

"Hey Peter!" Bruces voice sounded happily.

"Mr Banner! How's your latest project going?" Peter said excitedly.

"Great actually, thanks to your imput about a week ago it should be finished in a few days, hopefully by the time you're back." Banner explained.

"That's awesome, I really miss you and the other's."

"Yeah we miss you alot to, but you'll see us tomorrow! Anyway I have to go but you have fun alright?"

"Will do, bye!" Peter said, waiting as the phone was passed back to Tony.

"I should probably get going as well, god knows how many emails I still need to answer!"

"Yeah, Ned wanted to watch Star Wars so I can't be late for that."

"Well I won't keep you from your nerdy shows, you stay safe okay?"

Peter rolled his eyes fondly, no matter how many times he proved his indepence on looking after himself, the man would still worry.

"I will, bye Dad love you!"

"I love you too kid."

Peter tucked his phone away and rushed of to get started on the movies with Ned.

It was the middle of the night when Peter was jolted awake, he had been up with Ned watching movies until he decided to go to bed. He blinked through the darkness, trying to see what woke him, his heart beginning to race.

He then became aware that the hairs on his neck were standing up, he felt his senses start to buzz, louder and louder as if something was coming closer to him.

Peter turned in his bed so he could see who it was only but he didn't have enough time to do anything, the minute he did a piece of fabric was shoved against his nose and mouth.

He struggled for a moment, trying to over power whoever it was but he didn't have time to as he inhaled sharply, a strong chemical smell wafted through his nose and a sense of dizziness washed over him and his eyes rolled back to his head, his body slumping onto the floor.

Ned woke up the next morning to an oddly quiet hotel, Peter always seemed to be up before but today it didn't seem like it. When he checked the time he quietly swore under his breath when he realised they were late and dashed to go get Peter.

"Dude! C'mon we're gonna be late! We need to hurry-" He stopped short of his sentence when he saw Peter's bed empty. The covers were in a tangled heap, looking like someone slept in them, but the boy was nowhere in sight.

"Peter? Are you in the bathroom?" Ned asked, walking over to the door, he recieved no respone and when he checked the door wasn't even locked. Again, no sign of his friend. He headed out the room and rushed down to the breakfast area to see if the boy was there.

He wasn't.

Ned started to panic and rushed to find Mr Wilson, when he spotted the man he quickly made his way over to him.

"Sir have you seen Peter?"

"Ned, quite early to be up, and no I haven't seen Peter, why?" he asked confused.

"He wasn't there when I woke up and I don't know I think something happened." he gasped out.

"You're sure? He's not out-"

"No."

"Alright, I'll let the school know and alert the hotel, can you go and find his phone, maybe message someone?" he suggested.

Ned nodded and ran of back to the hotel, praying that Peter was alright wherever he was.

Happy was in his hotel room working on some private things for Tony when he recieved an incoming from Peter. He hadn't been expecting any calls from him so he figured it must be urgent.

"Peter?" he picked up the call.

"O-oh um hi! I'm Ned, P-peter's friend. I saw your name in the conacts but u-um Peter is...m-missing I think, I d-don't know."

"What do you mean Peter's missing?" Happy asked concernded.

"He wasn't here this morning and he w-wouldn't go anywhere without t-telling me, I know. The t-teachers are looking but I d-don't know I feel like something b-bad happened." His teary voice said, cracking slightly at the end

"Alright Ned." Happy hung up before dialing Tony's number with slightly shaking hands, considering everything with Davidson he was terrifed the dots might be connected.

"Hey Hap! What's up?" Tonys cheery voice sounded.

He really didn't want to say the words.

"Tony listen this is important, I don't know how to tell you this but-"

"Just spit it out, don't worry." the man chuckled, though it faltered when Happy didn't share it.

"What? What is it?" His voice grew slightly more concerned.

He took a deep breath before saying it.

"Peter's gone."
