Chapter 31: Night Dad love you.

A/N: I promise there is a plot to this story we are getting there so bare with me friends. I am offically back at school so I'm not sure how my update scheduele will work but I will my best to update as soon as I can.

Peter was at school the next day when Ned reminded him of the science trip, with the adoption and his birthday he had completely forgotten about the science club. He hoped that Tony had reconsidered and decided to let him go, even if Happy did have to tag along.

"Anyway Happy Birthday! I got you something, of course." Ned said, smiling as he pulled out a square box wrapped in Spiderman wrapping paper. "Thanks man." Peter replied as he started to open the gift, revealing the Lego Avengers Speeder Bike Attack set. He gasped and gave his friend a hug as he looked at the box set in awe.

"Thank you so much Ned, this is amazing dude!" Peter put the lego in his locker as they began to walk to their next lesson, talking about the newest movies that were coming out and their project they were working on in english.

They walked in and took a seat next to MJ, who greeted them with a nod before turning back to the book she was reading. Around half way through the lesson, Peter saw something moving out of the corner of his eyes and turned to see MJ pushing a small box towards him. She wasn't paying attention to him, solely focused on her book, but she continued to push it until it was in front of the boy.

He picked it up and took of the lid in curiosity to see what was inside. When he opened it he saw a small badge and he picked it up to insepct it. It was blue with science test tubes on it along with some lego bricks and the Stark Industries sign on it. Peter smiled when he realised it was personally made for him, he grabbed some paper to write a letter before slipping it over to MJ, who slowly picked it up to read.

Peter watched as a small smile spread across her face before she tucked the paper in her pocket and continued to read as if nothing happened. He looked back at the badge and attached it to the jacket he was wearing before focusing back on the lesson, a smile of his own making its way onto his face.

After school Happy drove him back to the Tower, he wanted to get home as soon as possible so he could ask Tony about the trip again.

"Dad?" he asked, as he walked in and dumped his bag on the floor. "Hello?" he called again when Tony didn't appear round the corner like he ususally did. Instead, Rhodey walked by and stopped when he noticed him. "Oh hey Pete, your Dad's away on a meeting, told me to tell you that he couldn't tell you because it was last minute."

Peter took a moment to take that in before nodding and walking over to grab a snack from the cupboard. "When will he be back?"

"I don't know, probably later this evening." the man replied, "Don't worry, I'm sure Clint will be eager to fill in the spot for now." Peter chuckled and grabbed a bag of oreos before getting his science text book out of his bag and heading over to the sofa.

"Son of Stark! How are you this fine day?" Thor asked when he spotted Peter walking in the room. The boy blushed at the greeting but replied and sat down to read his school book. "I'm good."

Peter got about half way through the section he was reading when Steve announced that it was dinner time. It had sort of become a tradition for Steve to cook meals for everyone, if they weren't having take out, and Peter enjoyed the time he spent talking with them all. It felt like a family dinner.
