Description: Hotel Dumort is an abandoned hotel that is being used as a home by the New Yorker Vampire Clan. The name Hotel Dumort is French and translates to 'Hotel of the dead', which makes it perfect for their inhabitants. It is located in 116th Street in East Harlem in Manhatten. New York City.

Original Use: The Hotel Dumort was originally called 'Hotel Dumont' and a glamorous place for Mundanes, built in what was then known as the Italian Harlem. Since Camille Belcourt arrived in 1929 it was taken over by the vampires. Over the years Mundanes stayed away from it and it decayed over time.

Even darker times: In the 1970s the Hotel was a hot-spot for drug addicts, especially cocaine. A vampire can't consume drugs or alcohol the normal way. The only way for them to get the effects is drinking the blood of a mundane who is drunk or on drugs. Several vampires got addicted to cacaine and because of that some Mundanes who were consuming this drug were kept in the hotel. It was Magnus Bane who healed the vampires from their addiction.
