Cleophas was born in Idris. She has two siblings, Luke Graymark and Amatis Graymark. Her mother was an Iron Sister and lived in the Adamant Citadel.

When she got older, Cleophas and Luke joined the Circle. As her brother got turned into a werewolf she was disgusted by him and disowned him.

After the Uprising and the disappearece of Valentine Morgenstern, she joined the Iron Sisters to flee from the death sentence of the Clave. Though then people asked her why she joined the Iron Sisters, she claimed that she wanted to restore her family name, since her brother Luke destroyed it by being turned into a werewolf.

Eventhough she was one of the best Iron Sisters, she secretly stayed loyal to Valentine and when she heard of his comeback, she even killed another Iron Sister to get back to him. Valentine didn't trust her all the way and wanted proof, so she hurted herself and went back to Luke and Clary to trick them.

She lost her loyalty when Valentine kidnapped the angel Ithuriel. She helped to rescue him. Valentine saw this act as betrayal and kept hostage on her, injecting her mind-control serum that slowly poisoned her. She managed to stay alive and fleed.

Luke brought her to a farm. She lives there to this day.
