Alaric Rodriguez was a werewolf in the New Yorker pack. He works at the NYPD and is a good friend of Luke Graymark.

When Alaric was turned into a werewolf, Luke took care of him. They became partners at work and were close friends. Back then Theo was the leader of the pack.

He was loyal to Theo and the pack and decided to follow his rules and orders and because of that he kidnapped Clary and Simon to keep them hostage in Jade Wolf. Eventhough he kidnapped them, he tried to keep them as save as possible, for Luke's sake.

When Luke killed Theo and took over the pack, Alaric bowed to him. He oftentimes questioned the decisions of his alpha, but stayed loyal.

He died in the Institute the moment Jace activated the Soul-Sword.
