Rosende was born in South Florida to Martha Ferrucho and Alberto Rosende (same name). He also has a brother called Diego and is of colombian and cuban descent.

His first real role was a Swing dancer in the short film"The swing of things" in 2013. He continued acting in "Blue Bloods" as Carlos Santiago (hehe, where are my Saphal Fans at?), "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and of course we know him as Simon Lewis in "Shadowhunters". Currently he's starring in Chicago Fire as Blake Gallo.

He was nominated in the TV Scoop Awards in the category 'Best Drama Actor' for his role as Simon Lewis in 2018.

In 2013 Alberto rosende was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

What all of us know: Other than acting, Alberto is also great in singing. His most famous song is 'Fragile World' that was played at a party in the Hunter's moon in the show.

Other than singing and acting, Alberto also founded a bookclub, 'Rosende Reads'. With his reader he chooses books with a deeper meaning to discuss the topics into life-changing depths. His recent reads were "If Beale Street could talk" and "White Fraglity - Why it's so hard for white people to talk about racism". His motto is: "Keep reading, keep exploring, keep being curious. And most imporantly: Keep being positive forces of change in your communities. Because that's what we're about."

He is currently dating his co-star Tessa Mossey and he has a cat called Stella.
