Chapter 19

Naligo ako ar nagbabad muna sa bathtub for about 40 minutes just to rest my body.

There's a lot going through my mind right now. Ano kaya sinabi ko kay Stephen? Did I gave him a chance? I hope not dahil malaking gulo 'yon. I hope he understood what I've said earlier. I want to make it all clear to him. Ayaw kong paasahin siya smh.

When I got out of the bathroom, naabutan ko si Andrea na nasa kama habang nagpo-phone. "Bakit ka nandito?" I asked her while using the blower to dry my hair. "Wala lang gusto lang kita makita kung paano magready." She replied while doing something on her phone.

I just ignored her and let her watch me what I do. I wore my flight attendant uniform and did my make up. I sprayed perfume all over my uniform. She insisted to put my blazer and my scarf for me. I taught her how to put it on. Sabay na kaming bumaba ni Andrea para mag dinner. Maaga ako ngayon nakapag ready since ayaw ko ng nagmamadali.

Afritada ang ulam. I ate a lot kasi sometimes I don't eat a lot kapag may layover kami. I want to maintain my body.

"Kumusta 'yung karinderya sa Batangas?" Tinanong ko si mama habang nakaupo kami nila tita sa couch. I hope mas maraming oras ang nakakasama ko sila palagi kagaya ng ganito. Pero hindi kasi pwede.

"Okay naman, mas mataas ang kita natin doon sa Batangas kaysa dito sa Manila." Tita Amelia replied while putting on a nail polish. I don't know but I really like the smell of the nail polish.

"Of course, nag-iisa lang naman tayo na karinderya doon sa Batangas. Marami kasing mga restaurants dito kaya hindi masyado mabenta ang mga karinderya." I chuckled and tried to find a channel to watch.

I watched TV pampalipas oras since maaga pa. I left around 10:45 pm and Andrea was already asleep. Sila tita na lang ang kasama ko.

"Bye, Alis na ako" I kissed them both on their cheeks.

"Ingat ka ha." Pag paalala ni mama before I closed the door.

Selene was already outside my house waiting for me. This is the usual routine. She will text me if nasa labas na siya so alam ko kung lalabas na ako. Hindi pa ako bumibili ng car since hindi pa naman necessary. Hindi ko pa rin kasi tapos hulugan yung condo ko. Kinokonti-konti ko yung sa condo ko dahil hindi ko pa naman kailangan iyon ngayon since 24 years old pa lang ako at wala pa akong balak mag settle down.

Our flight today will gonna be only 2 legs. Manila to Singapore then, Singapore to Manila which is 3 hours lang ang byahe each leg.

During the flight, I offered some snacks. Then someone called me. "Yes sir? How may I help you?" I told him.

"Don't call me sir, call me ma'am." He removed his sunglasses and fixed his scarf.

"Darling, you know, maganda ka and matangkad ka you're good for modeling." He said while examining me from head to toe. "Have you ever tried modeling?" He continued.

Some people often say that. But I haven't thought of it yet. "Uhm.. no po." I smiled. Actually wala naman sa goals ko 'yon eh.

"Oh, you have the looks I have the feeling na magiging successful model ka. Here's my calling card, pagisipan mong mabuti hija. If pumayag ka, just call me so that maipapasok kita sa agency ko. Maraming sikat na models ay under sa agency na ito. So think about it okay?" He handed me his calling card and I accepted it. Nilagay ko sa bulsa ko sa blazer ko. I just nodded and smiled and continued my work. I don't even know why I accepted it! Parang may something na bigla na lang automatic kinuha ng kamay ko 'yung calling card.

Lumapit ako kay Selene and I told her about the agency. "Bes mamaya na tayo mag usap baka mapagalitan tayo. Later na lang pag nasa Manila na tayo." She whispered and continue her work. Since this is our second leg already which is Singapore to Manila, konting oras nalang ay nasa Manila na kami.
