Zac and Chloe had just finished writing their History test and for the first time in forever Zac felt like he wrote well.
A lot had happened in the week. Naomi seemed less angry at the world and Zac found out she's really nice when she wants to be.
Martha made his life in gym class a living nightmare but he couldn't trade her in for anyone else so he was stuck with her.
Chloe actually started showing interest in him. She would flirt with him and kiss him on the cheek a lot.
Aliyah seemed to be finding more and more reasons to hang out with the 'Casanova'.
Samar and Phoebe seemed to be plotting but he couldn't figure out what it was about.
Zoe would disappear out of nowhere and come back acting weird.
Now they're all making plans for the party Chloe invited them to at lunch.
"So I'll pick you guys up and we'll go there together?" Samar raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, pretty much. I can't believe you're making us go to this party early just because you wanna spend time with Chloe." Phoebe looked at Zac with an annoyed look.
"I really want her to like me and if that means arriving early to help her set up then I will." Zac told the girl who rolled her eyes.
"You're so annoying." Zoe groaned.
"Whatever." Zac shrugged and took a bite of his sandwich. He didn't care if they didn't want to do it. He was willing to do anything for Chloe's attention.
The party started at 8:30 PM and Zac made everyone arrive an hour and a half early. They got out Samar's car and Zac rang the doorbell.
He was expecting Chloe to open the door but an elderly woman opened it instead.
"You're not the pizza guy." the woman told the boy.
"No, sorry I must be at the wrong address." Zac told the woman looking very confused. He looked at the numbers on the wall next to the door frame. They were the right numbers.
"Grandma did you get the almond paste?" Zac looked behind the woman to see Naomi walking towards them.
"Top shelve in the pantry sweetheart."
"Thanks..... Zachary? What are you guys doing here?" Naomi asked finally realizing who's at the door.
"Oh so you know them?" the woman asked her granddaughter.
"Yeah, I go to school with them."
"Well invite them in. Don't be rude."
"Yeah, come in?" Naomi said a bit confused as to why they were there.
She moved away from the door for them to come in. She led them to the living room and they sat down. Her grandmother went into the kitchen to get them some snacks.
"Why are you here?" Naomi asked wide eyed.
"I think we got the wrong house." Zac explained.
The front door of the house opened and closed. Martha and Chloe came into the living room and stopped in their tracks once they saw Zac and his friends.
"Why is McGregor here?" Martha asked Naomi.
"Your guess is as good as mine." Naomi shrugged.
"I invited him." Chloe admitted.
"Why?!" Martha whined.
"I'm allowed to invite whoever I want. I just didn't think he'd show up so early." Chloe explained.
