Zac was in the kitchen with his mom and his sister making them burgers.
"Wait, let me get this straight. You're going to make us burgers, chips and drinks?" Jessica asked excitedly.
"Yep." Zac smiled.
"Okay loser, what's the occasion?" Jessica raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing. It's Saturday, I'm bored and I'm sure you guys are hungry." Zac shrugged taking the chips out the deep fryer.
"Oh, those look good." Jessica said trying to grab one of the chips.
"No, you have to wait for the burgers." Zac swatted her hand away.
He put the chips down and flipped the burger patties over. He then grabbed the buns so he could toast them.
"Can I get a salad instead of your rip off LAYS?" Zac's mom asked.
"Ouch. That hurt. They're not rip offs they're just home made potato chips." Zac said defensively.
"Are you gonna make her that salad or not?" Jessica deadpanned.
"Fine." Zac rolled his eyes and started on the salad.
Once he was done with the food he served it for everyone and poured each of them his special made drink.
"Bon appetite." Zac smiled.
"This actually looks good." Jessica nodded in approval.
"Of cause it's good. I'm the one who made it after all." Zac smiled.
"Zac!"
They all looked towards the stairs to see Zac's dad angrily descending them.
"What's wrong William?" Zac's mom asked.
"This son you gave me is an absolute disgrace and disappointment!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Look at this Victoria! This is a copy of an application letter to a culinary arts school in New York! I specifically told you that you are going to business school and you decided to disobey me." He said pointing and glaring at Zac.
"You didn't want to listen me dad. I thrive in the kitchen not-"
"Shut up! You will do as I say."
"Zac's right William. Let him do what he loves instead of forcing him to do something he hates." Zac's mom tried reasoning with her husband.
"I am trying to get him a job that makes way more sense than culinary."
"That's his choice not yours dad." Jessica frowned.
"I was talking to my son. No one asked for your opinion." He glared at Jessica.
"That doesn't mean it's not valued." Zac told her.
"You are not going anywhere near a culinary school." He said sternly before looking at the food that Zac made. He grabbed all their plates and threw them in the trash.
"You're unbelievable." Zac sighed before taking his apron off and walking out the house.
"Zac!" Jessica called after him but he was already out the door.
He walked to the school and went to the woods behind the building. He then found the tree Mr Hartford showed him and Naomi and he started hitting it. After an hour or so he sat down on a rock.
"Hey Zachary." Zac looked up and saw Naomi walking towards him.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Zac smiled.
