"Okay, just sing that part again." Mr Hartford told Naomi. It was Saturday and they were at school trying to finish Naomi's song. Mr Hartford was sitting in front of the piano and Naomi was leaning on it.

"Can you feel the rain right now?
Washing away our fears and doubts." Naomi sang.

"That's really good. We should be done in an hour or so."

"Good. I really want Zac and Martha to hear it before they do something they'll regret."

"That's really nice of you." Mr Hartford told her as he played the piano. "Not many people would write a song just to convince their friends not to give up on their dreams."

"This feels weird." Naomi smiled.

"What feels weird?"

"A year ago if you told me I'd be writing a song to give my friends hope I wouldn't have believed you. In fact I would've tuned you out." Naomi chuckled.

They continued to make a few tweaks to the song before Naomi texted Zac and Martha telling them to meet her at the school.

"They should be here in a few. Thank you for helping me with this." Naomi smiled at her teacher.

"I didn't do much. Oh and by the way you got an A on your assignment. This is a really good song." Mr Hartford smiled.

Zac and Martha got to the school at about the same time and looked at each other quizzically.

"What are you doing here McGregor?" Martha asked.

"Naomi asked me to come. You?"

"Same. What do you think she wants?"

"I don't know. Where is she anyways?" Zac sighed sitting down on the steps on the building.

They sat there for a few minutes before the doors of the building opened to reveal Mr Hartford and Naomi.

"See you Monday." Mr Hartford smiled walking over to his car.

"What was that about?" Martha asked her cousin.

"I'll explain later. Come on." Naomi signaled for the two brunettes to follow her.

They followed her to the music room where she sat down at the piano.

"What's this about exactly?" Martha sighed.

"Just sit down or stand or whatever you're comfortable with." Naomi shrugged.

Zac and Martha sighed before sitting down in the chairs next to them. Naomi smiled before she started playing the piano.

In a tropical depression
When somber clouds call out your name
Have faith in your direction
You'll find sunshine through the rain

When you're fighting for survival
And you feel you've lost your way
Look beyond the dark horizon
And you'll find sunshine through the rain

You'll find sunshine through the rain
Sunshine through the rain
Sure enough you can rise on up
And see brighter days ahead

I vow to never lose this hunger
My dreams won't be in vain
It leaves me feeling stronger
When I find sunshine through the rain

So if we can stand together
There's no need to be afraid
This love could last forever
And we'll find sunshine through the rain

You'll find sunshine through the rain
Sunshine through the rain
Sure enough you can rise on up
And find sunshine through the rain

Can you feel the rain right now
Washing away our fears and doubts
See the light come through the clouds
Sun shining over us
It's time to take our future
Our faith with sure the way
We'll find a rainbow it's alright

You'll find sunshine through the rain
Sunshine through the rain
Sure enough we can rise on up
And see brighter days again

Sunshine through the rain
Sunshine through the rain
Sure enough you can rise on up
And see brighter days again

Sure enough we can rise on up
And see brighter days again.

Naomi ended the song and looked over to her cousin and friend. "You guys can't just quit. Please don't let your dreams go in vain." Naomi pleaded quoting her song.

Martha walked over to Naomi and gave her a hug. "Thank you." Martha whispered.

"That was awesome." Zac smiled giving Naomi a hug.

"So do you guys promise? Promise me you won't quit?" Naomi looked at the two hopefully.

"I promise." Martha smiled.

"Same here." Zac smiled and gave Naomi one last hug.

They talked for a while before they decided they should be heading home.

When Zac walked through his front door he saw Jessica sitting on the couch minding her own business.

"Jess. Pick four ingredients of your choice from the kitchen and I'll make you and awesome dish with them." Zac said sitting next to his sister.

"Okay? Are you feeling okay?" Jessica asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Of cause I'm okay. Why you ask?"

"Well, you were moping around the house for a while and now you just seem excited. What could've possibly happened in two hours that's got you this happy?"

"Are you gonna pick those ingredients or are you gonna keep interrogating me?" Zac sighed.

"Okay. Mustard, bread, Cheetos and.....Sprite." Jessica smirked.

"We have Sprite and you're only just now telling me?" Zac asked running to the kitchen.

"Mom just got back from the store dummy." Jessica rolled her eyes walking towards the kitchen as well.

"Okay, let's get started then." Zac said grabbing his apron and his ingredients.

"This is gonna be interesting." Jessica smirked.

"Just watch as I make art my little sister." Zac said grabbing a pot.

"We'll see." Jessica smiled as Zac started cooking.

Jessica was kind of surprised when Zac actually made something out the ingredients she picked out for him. It actually looked good so she took a picture of it.

"Time for the moment of truth. This better taste as good as it looks." Jessica pointed at her brother with the fork he gave her.

"It will. Trust me on that."

Jessica smiled at him before digging into the food. The food tasted incredible but since she wasn't about to admit to that she just shook her head.

"Needs more salt."

"Is that the only problem?" Zac smirked.

"No, but I'm going to reserve my criticism for now." Jessica said before taking another bite of the food.

"What are you two trouble makers doing?"

They looked up to see their mother making her way over to them.

"Jess is criticising my cooking." Zac smiled pointing at his sister who was still eating.

"Let me have have a taste." She said taking a fork out the drawer and eating the food.

"This is really good Zac." She smiled.

"Thanks mom. See Jess, it's not that hard to say you like my cooking." Zac smirked.

"Oh shut up." Jessica rolled her eyes and Zac's chuckled.
