"Pick up the pace! Come on! Go!"

Zac looked over at his gym teacher exhausted. He had them running laps and doing obstacle courses.

"I can't do anymore laps." Zac said trying to catch his breath.

"I said go McGregor!" Coach Camp yelled pointing towards the end of the gym.

Zac sighed and kept running. His legs felt like jelly. After two minutes of running Coach Camp blew his whistle and everyone fell to the ground in exhaustion.

"Why is he pushing us so hard?" Zac asked Martha who was on the floor next to him.

"I don't know, but if he doesn't stop I'm gonna pass out."

"Forget about passing out. I'm gonna puke." Naomi panted.

"Okay everyone get up! We have to do jumping jacks!"

"This man is trying to kill us." Martha said trying to get up.

"Coach Camp. We're all exhausted. Can't you just give us a break?" Chloe asked.

"A break? Did I get a break when my baby kept crying and screaming?! I couldn't get a break and his mom isn't home so I have to take care of him!"

"So that's why he's doing this. He's frustrated and is taking it out on us." Naomi sighed breathlessly.

"Someone please get him a spa day before he kills us." Martha said trying to stay on her feet.

"I don't think I can do volleyball practice today." Chloe said her legs wobbling.

Everyone got up and did a few jumping jacks before the bell rang and they all fell to the floor.

"Saved by the bell."  Zac chuckled.

"That's not funny." Martha frowned at his joke.

"It's a little funny." Zac smiled.

"Okay, it's a little funny." Martha chuckled softly trying to get up.

Most of the class didn't even change and that included Zac and Naomi.

They walked into the music room completely exhausted. They got in and immediately laid down in three chairs each.

"You guys look like you were being chased by a cheetah." Mr Hartford pointed out.

"My legs feel like was being chased by a cheetah." Zac said.

"At least you can still feel yours." Naomi whispered.

"How about I save today's lesson for tomorrow?"

"Yes please." both students said not even bothering to look up at their teacher.

Mr Hartford let them rest for the entire class. He only woke them up when the bell rang.

"You two can't stay here. Time to go home." Mr Hartford said shaking the two awake.

"Five more minutes." Naomi groaned.

"Nope. Get up, go home and get some rest."

"Fine." Naomi groaned before getting up and getting her bag.

They walked out the school doors but stopped when they saw the stairs.

"I can't walk down those." Naomi whimpered softly.

"What are you guys standing here for?" Martha asked with Chloe, Zoe and Samar behind her.

"Stairs." Naomi whined and Martha groaned.
