"I can't believe we actually won." Naomi whispered as she took a sip from the smoothie Zoe got her.
"I can." Zoe whispered in her ear making Naomi blush. The two looked at each other lovingly.
"You guys won!" Samar yelled grabbing Naomi's shoulders and shaking her from behind.
"He's my friend and I love him but did he really have to ruin the moment?" Zoe groaned and Naomi giggled.
"Wait till I tell grandma and grandpa about this." Martha said excitedly hugging Naomi from behind.
"Please don't. They'll act like I was the first person to land on Mars." Naomi chuckled.
"Okay I'm just gonna ask. 'No Clue'?" Aliyah raised an eyebrow pointing at their shirts.
"Oh that's all his fault." Naomi pointed at Zac.
"For the hundredth time it was a mistake! She asked the name of the band and I said 'No clue'!" Zac said looking pretty annoyed like a five year old.
"Calm down dude." Aliyah said chuckling.
"Yeah, you're turning red." Phoebe mocked and Zac rolled his eyes.
"I hate you guys."
Aliyah smirked and stuck her tongue out at him making Zac smile. His smile faded the second Aliyah turned her attention to Markus.
"You want ice cream?" Markus asked the girl.
"Don't you think it's a little late for ice cream?"
"I know it's late now, but it won't be late Monday after school." Markus smirked.
"Smooth." Aliyah said sarcastically.
"Is that a yes?" Markus asked with a goofy grin.
"Sí." Aliyah nodded and Markus' grin got even wider and goofier.
"Cool, we'll all go out for ice cream Monday." Samar said excitedly.
"No I meant just me an-"
"That sounds cool. We're all going out for ice cream on Monday." Zac stated cutting Markus off.
"Well I guess we'll have to postpone that date." Aliyah sighed trying her best not to strangle her friends.
"Next time don't announce your date around the the two most oblivious dorks on this planet." Jessica whispered to Markus making him laugh.
"I'm heading home. You kids don't stay out too late okay?" Mr Hartford announced to the kids.
"Will do sir." Zac said giving him a tiny nod.
"I need you to tell me how your assignment is going on Monday." Mr Hartford told Naomi
"Yes sir." Naomi saluted making her teacher smile before leaving.
"What assignment?" Zac raised a brow.
"The one's that's none of your business."
"Come on tell me." Zac whined.
"Does your brother always act like a child?" Noami sighed looking at Jessica.
"Yep."
"I'm not a child. You don't think I'm a child do you?" Zac asked Chloe who smiled at him.
"Yes, you are a child." Martha answered in place of Chloe.
"No one asked you." Toby told Martha who rolled her eyes.
"I think we should get going." Chloe piped up as soon as Naomi and herself finished their smoothies.
Everyone nodded and left the shop after five minutes. They got in their different cars and went back to their different homes.
Monday morning Zac walked through the school halls with a smile on his face. He walked over to his locker where Samar was waiting.
"Hey Zac attack." Samar greeted.
"Hey dude."
"You excited for ice cream today?" Samar asked excitedly.
"Yeah but you seem way more excited than I am."
"Of cause I'm excited. This is my chance to prove to Martha that I'm the perfect guy for her."
"Oh my gosh. Dude why would you even have a crush on Martha of all people in this school?"
"You don't understand how love works." Samar sighed.
Zac rolled his eyes before getting his books out his locker. He then made his way to his first class of the day as soon as the bell rang.
After all his long, boring classes Zac made his way to the second music room where Mr Hartford was waiting for him and Naomi.
"She's not here yet?" Zac asked.
"Nope. It's okay though. I don't necessarily need her for today's lesson."
"Really? What's today's lesson?"
"I want you to write an essay about who and what you wanna be once you graduate."
"Easy, I wanna be the one who takes over my dad's business." Zac answered.
Mr Hartford chuckled before looking at his student. "No Zac. You have to write an essay. It's due graduation day."
"That's a long ways away from now don't you think?"
"That's the point Zac. Right now you keep giving me vague answers. If you can't explain your future plans to a three year old then you don't know what that plan is." Mr Hartford sat back in his chair.
"I don't know what you want me to tell you sir." Zac sighed taking a seat.
The door flew open revealing Naomi who was holding a notebook and a pen in her hands.
"You sure took your sweet time." Zac said as Naomi sat down next to him.
"Whatever." Naomi rolled her eyes at the boy.
"Okay, today I want to teach you guys more about reading sheet music." Mr Hartford took out a folder from his bag that had sheet music in it.
They started their lesson and soon the bell rang signaling that it was time to go home.
"Let's get going. We have ice cream to eat." Zac told Naomi who smiled at him.
"You go ahead. I'll meet you outside. I have something to talk about with Mr Hartford."
"Okay. Don't take too long. Ice cream waits for no man." Zac smiled before grabbing his backpack and walking out the room.
He walked out the school building and stood by the steps like he usually does. Zoe came out the building with Martha and Chloe next to her.
"Ladies." Zac smiled.
"Hey dorks. We hijacking Aliyah's date or what?" Phoebe asked as she walked out the building with Samar and Toby.
"Hijacking?" Zac and Samar both asked each with one eyebrow raised.
"You two are idiots. And speaking of Aliyah, where is she?" Toby asked.
"She texted me a while ago. She's waiting for us with Markus in his car." Zoe shrugged.
"Okay let's go then." Samar said excitedly.
"Hold your horses Reynolds. Naomi isn't here yet." Martha deadpanned.
"Right, where is she?" Zoe asked Zac.
"She's still talking with Mr Hartford." Zac answered.
Zoe was about to ask what they were talking about when she felt someone take her hand. She looked next to her and found a smiling Naomi.
"Let's get going." Naomi said smiling at everyone.
They all got into their different cars and made their way to the mall for ice cream.
