"Zac come on! If we don't leave now you'll be late for your own graduation!" Jessica yelled going up the stairs to look for her brother.

"Give me second." Zac told her as she walked through his bedroom door.

"Honestly you took longer than me to get ready and I woke up two hour after you." Jessica rolled her eyes.

"Okay, I'm done, jeez." Zac rolled his eyes grabbing his sunglasses off his dresser.

"Let's go then." Jessica rolled her eyes and walked out the room.

Zac walked down the stairs and saw his dad still sitting on the couch where he had been for the whole morning.

"So you're really not coming to my graduation?" Zac sighed. His dad didn't say anything instead he just raised the volume on the TV.

"Suit yourself then." Zac rolled his eyes and walked out to the car where Jessica and his mom were waiting for him.

They drove to school where almost all the seniors were already in their gowns.

"You're late McGregor." Martha told him as he made his way towards his friends.

"Where's your gown?" Zoe raised an eyebrow.

"Damn, I left it in the car. Give me a second." Zac told them as he ran back to his car but before he could get far he saw Jessica coming towards him with the gown and cap in hand.

"You forgot this."

"Thank you. You're a lifesaver sis."

"I know." Jessica smiled.

Zac went back to his friends and put his cap and gown on. "Let's go graduate people." Zac smiled.

They all made their way to the football field where the whole ceremony was going to happen.

They all took their seats and waited for the principal to start with his speech. Zoe and Naomi then had to make the valedictorian and salutatorian addresses.

After the ceremony was finally done their parents forced them into taking a bunch of photos.

"I swear if I smile anymore my cheeks might go stiff." Chloe whispered to Zac as her mom kept taking photos.

"Mine are already stiff." Zac whispered back.

"You two are so cute." Chloe's mom cooed.

"Okay finish up with the photos. Those burgers aren't gonna grill themselves." Naomi's grandpa told everyone.

All their parents made a plan that they'll go over to Markus's house for a cookout to celebrate the kids graduation.

They finished up at the school and went over for their cookout.

"Don't put any cheese on mine." Martha told Zac who was putting cheese slices on all the burgers.

"You've got it." Zac told her.

"We graduated highschool and now we're going to college. Doesn't seem real." Markus sighed handing everyone a can of soda.

"Give it a second. You'll realize it's real when you come back next year from your freshman year of college." Aliyah's dad told him.

They all enjoyed themselves for the day. Finally graduating highschool.

One year later

Zac and Naomi were walking to the lake. They had landed two hours ago and Ubered from the airport.

"We're back. We're finally back." Naomi said excitedly walking to the lake.

"Are you happy to be back or are you just happy to see your girlfriend?" Zac chuckled.

"Maybe it's the latter." Naomi smiled.

Zac and Naomi both got into schools in New York which led to them being roommates. Zac was given the responsibility of taking care of Naomi and Naomi was given the responsibility of making sure Zac doesn't do anything stupid.

When they got to the lake they saw Martha and Phoebe skipping some stones. Markus, Samar and Aliyah were playing catch with a football. Chloe, Toby and Zoe were sitting on the blanket talking.

"Hello people!" Zac announced making everyone look at him. They all ran to give them both hugs.

"We missed you guys." Aliyah told the two.

"We missed you too." Naomi smiled.

They went back to what they were doing. Zac sat down next to Chloe and Zoe dragged Naomi to the same tree she climbed and almost fell out of.

"I missed you so much." Zoe told Naomi as she gave her another hug.

"I missed you too." Naomi sighed.

"What's in the cooler box?" Zac asked Chloe.

"Just some snacks." Chloe said smiling at Zac.

"What?" Zac chuckled.

Chloe just shrugged and gave him a chaste kiss. "I don't know."

They spent the day at the lake then they went to their separate homes. Zac had to go to Naomi's because his dad didn't want him back home. The next day they all went on a camping trip.

"I can't believe you convinced us to do this." Markus sighed as he pitched his tent.

"I thought it could be fun." Chloe smiled.

"Why would you think camping of all things would be fun. With all the mosquitoes?" Martha asked putting her sleeping bag in her tent.

"Voluntarily living like dogs." Toby said sitting down on the cooler box.

"If you guys didn't want to come, why are you here?" Chloe asked.

"Living with Zac means he knows how to convince me to do group activities that I honestly don't want to do." Naomi rolled her eyes.

"Then Naomi gave me and Martha the puppy dog eyes and here we are." Zoe said.

"Then Zoe somehow convinced me and Phoebe to be here. I made Markus come." Aliyah said.

"Then I made Toby come by telling him I'll invite Corey." Markus added.

"Then I ended up inviting Emmit to make this more bearable." Phoebe said.

"Then I came because Martha asked me to." Samar shrugged.

"Just keep in mind this is how most terrible 60s horror movies start. A bunch of teenagers camping in the woods." Naomi shrugged.

"Thank you for lifting everybody's already high spirits Naomi." Zac said sarcastically making Naomi shrugged.

"She's right though." Zoe smiled.

They finished setting up their tents and made their camp fire. They sat around it and told stories, both scary and funny.

Zac looked around at his friends. He then thought about how much taking a music class taught by a crazy yet somehow wise music teacher changed his life.

He looked over at Naomi and it looked like she was thinking about the exact same thing. She smiled at him before snuggling into Zoe who kissed the top of her head. Zac then chuckled upon hearing Chloe complain about the scary story Martha was telling.

"Damn I missed you guys." Zac said making everyone smile at him and nod.

"Same here Zac." Martha smiled and Zac smiled finally hearing her call him by his name. "Don't get used to it."

"Wouldn't dare." Zac smiled.
