The whole school cheered as they watched Markus make another three point shot.
"Yes!" Martha yelled giving Samar a high five.
Even though she wasn't Samar's biggest fan she still appreciated the fact that he liked watching spots with the same intensity as herself.
"I can't believe you finally found someone who goes as crazy as you during these things." Chloe chuckled looking at her best friend.
"Yes!" Samar yelled really loudly when Markus made another three pointer.
"He's on the roll!" Martha yelled not even noticing that Chloe was talking to her.
"Did you even hear me?" Chloe asked and Martha still didn't look at her.
"It's no use. She's dead to the world." Naomi said from behind her cousin.
After Markus and the team won the game Martha suggested they get some snacks and go hang out at the park.
"Great job kid." Martha told Markus giving him a small punch on the shoulder.
"Thanks, but it was a team effort." Markus smiled sheepishly.
"You're way too modest." Aliyah smiled intertwining her hands with his.
"Hey Aliyah you have something on face." Phoebe said pointing at her friend.
"Where?" Aliyah asked.
"Oh....no. Never mind it's just a blush." Phoebe smirked.
"I hate you." Aliyah grumbled.
"Oh please, you love me and you know it." Phoebe said sticking her tongue out at her friend.
"I can't wait for you to get a crush so I can make fun of you." Aliyah rolled her eyes.
"Until that day you'll have to deal with me teasing you."
Zoe chuckled softly at the comment making Aliyah smirk at her.
"You better not be laughing at me cause I can easily have a field day with you."
Zoe's eyes immediately went wide and she raised her hands in surrender.
"Field day? You know something I don't?" Zac raised an eyebrow.
"Everyone knows something you don't Zac." Zoe said making all the girls along with Toby laugh.
"Hey Naomi. Can you do me a favour?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, what you need?"
"Zoe has a bit of chocolate on her bottom lip. Can you move it?"
"What? Zoe doesn't-" Chloe clasped her hand over Zac's mouth to shut him up.
Naomi put her hand on Zoe's cheek and rubbed her bottom lip making the taller girl blush and the others except for Zac and Samar laugh.
"I hate all of you." Zoe said still blushing.
"No you don't." Naomi said scooting closer to her girlfriend.
"Okay guys that's enough teasing for one day. Way too much blushing for me." Martha said before eating a few chips.
They all agreed and went back to talking about the game. After they were done they went their separate ways.
Zac got to his house and found his entire family in the living room watching a movie.
"Hey guys." Zac greeted.
"Hey sweetie. I found this really cool recipe for lamb chops. You wanna help me make them?" Zac's mom asked from the couch.
"Of cause I would. Just let me get changed into another shirt. I got juice all over this one." Zac smiled before running upstairs.
Once he got downstairs he and his mom started making their lamb chops. Zac really loved cooking with his mom. They would cook almost everything they found on the internet and Zac would make a few adjustments to the recipes here and there.
"Are you two done yet? I'm starving over here." Jessica complained.
"Quit whining Jess. It needs five minutes or else it won't get crisp with a smoky flavor." Zac told her.
"Dude come on. I'm dying here."
"Look, if you wanna speed up the process, set up the table while I make the sauce." Zac sighed and Jessica nodded.
After five minutes the lamb was done and Zac started serving every one.
"Bon appetite." Zac smiled a soon as he was done serving everyone.
"The only thing missing now is some red wine." Jessica said looking at the food.
"You're 14. Water, juice or soda. Take your pick." Zac's mom said sternly.
"I suggest you pick water." Zac advised.
"Water please." Jessica asked her mom who nodded getting two glasses of water and two glasses of wine.
After dinner Zac went up to his room. The shirt he wore when he won best band at the smoothie shop was on his desk. That's when he remembered Mr Hartford gave him an assignment.
"I don't get it. I already know that I want to be the one to take over McGregor trucking." Zac sighed getting ready for bed.
He got on his bed before grabbing his phone and texting Naomi.
Zac: Was the assignment Mr Hartford gave you about writing what you want to be after graduation?
Naomi: No. Why do you ask?
Zac: He asked me to write an essay due graduation day. He thinks I don't know what I want my future to be.
Naomi: Well do you?
Zac: Of cause I do. I'll inherit the company and continue McGregor trucking.
Naomi: Dude not to rain on your parade but Jessica is 14 and she can convince me why she deserves the company more than you.
Zac: Are you serious right now?
Naomi: Zachary you'll be in college soon. Are you telling me you honestly want to learn business?
Zac: Not really.
Naomi: What do you want to learn then?
Zac: I'm not sure. I've been so obsessed with business that I haven't actually thought about what I like.
Naomi: Maybe you should. Now, can you please stop texting me? I was in the middle of whooping Martha's butt in Call Of Duty.
Zac: Okay. Make sure you beat her please.
Naomi: Will do😉.
Zac sighed before putting his phone on the nightstand and going to bed thinking about his assignment.
