"You seem happy." Mr Hartford pointed out as they finished playing a simple song with the drums.

"I really am." Zac smiled and nodded.

"May I ask why?"

"I have a date with a girl I really like today after school." Zac smiled excitedly.

"Don't mess it up." Naomi commented making Zac frown.

"What makes you think I'll mess it up?"

"You're nervous and nervous people tend to mess things up." Naomi shrugged and Zac looked at her worriedly.

"Oh no. What if I do something embarrassing and she never talks to me again?"

"Okay, let me give you some advice." Mr Hartford put his hand on Zac's shoulder. "Stop worrying! Just be yourself and you'll be fine."

"Yeah dude. Just chill out and you'll be fine." Naomi nodded.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Zac sighed.

"Now let's take it from the top." Mr Hartford told the two as he twirled his drumsticks in his hands.

"How did you do that?" Zac raised an eyebrow.

"What? Twirling the drumsticks?"

"Yeah."

"Let's learn how to play the drums before we get to a move as advanced as drumstick twirling."

Zac nodded before they went back to playing. As soon as the bell rang they concluded their class. Zac grabbed his bag and ran out the doors.

He stood next to his car and waited for Chloe to come out the school building. After two minutes of waiting he saw Chloe come out the building with Naomi and Zoe.

"See you girls tomorrow." Chloe told the two as soon as she saw Zac.

"Bye." the two girls waved goodbye before walking off school grounds.

"Hey, ready to go?" Chloe asked the boy who nodded before opening the door for her. Chloe smiled and got in the car.

Zac got in and he started the car. As he was driving them to the mall Chloe could tell that he was nervous.

When they got to the mall they went straight to the frozen yogurt shop. They ordered and got a table for two.

Zac kept puffing out air and at a point Chloe decided to take matters into her own hands.

By that I mean she took Zac's hand and looked at him from across the table.

"Dude, calm down."

"Sorry." Zac nervously chuckled. "I just don't want to do anything embarrassing."

Chloe rolled her eyes before smearing some froyo onto her shirt. "There now if you do something embarrassing we'll be even."

Zac looked at her before laughing. "I guess we will."

After that Zac calmed down and they had an actual conversation which they both enjoyed.

After froyo they walked back to Zac's car hand in hand. Zac couldn't stop blushing the whole way.

He dropped Chloe off at home and she kissed him on the cheek as a thank you for the great date.

Zac went back home over the moon. He couldn't stop smiling and he didn't think he was gonna stop smiling for a while now.

He was super wrong cause when he was about to get to his house he saw Jessica coming out of a car that was being driven by non other than Markus Johnson with Aliyah in the passenger seat.
