"Let's get this party started ladies!" Garcia said, popping open the bottle of wine, before pouring a bit in all of our glasses. It felt so good to be around all the girls again, we were like sisters.
"Here's to being together again." JJ said, holding up her glass. We all cheered and clinked our glasses. A smile stretched across my face.
"Well, I heard we are here to doll up a special someone." Kate said, turning to look at me.
"Oh yes, I wonder who that could be." Tara replied, smiling over at me.
"Fine, fine, secret is out of the bag." I said, turning red. We all got up and headed to the my bedroom, the master bedroom. My house was a gift from my mom after my dad went away, luckily it was already paid off. The only downside was that it was huge for just one person, making me always feel lonely, but I enjoyed the company.
As we walked into my bedroom, I realized that I had no clue what in the world I was going to wear. The rest of the girls, stormed my closet as Emily stood beside me infront of my mirror.
"Thank you Emily."
"For what?" she asked, standing there with a puzzled expression on her face.
"For always being there for me and by my side. You're the best. I love you." I said, tearing up a bit.
"I love you too Abb. And don't stress the whole Reid thing, he's not worth it. What's meant to be will always find it's way in the end."
"Wait! How did you find out?"
"Come on. You know Garcia can't keep a secret. But don't worry, JJ is the only other that knows."
"You're right, I should've told you guys too. I just don't know how to feel about the whole thing."
"I know how you should see this. See it as an opportunity to show him that you are so much better than Seaver could ever be. Love is a complicated thing. But, if it is really love, you will fight for it."
"Thank you."
"Abby! Get over here." hollared JJ from my closet. I looked up to Emily who gave me the nod to go before walking across my room.
"Close your eyes!" Garcia said before letting me in to my own closet. I covered my eyes with my hands, as Kate led me into the closet.
"Open!" Kate stood there in front of me holding up the most breathtaking red dress. I didn't even know I owned a dress like that. I stood there, my mouth wide open in shock, speechless.
"Now, before you can put it on, let us do your hair in makeup." Blake said, turning to walk out of my closet. We all headed into my bathroom where Kate did my makeup and JJ curled my hair. As they were doing that, the rest of the girls got ready throughout my room, catching up with each other we did so. While Kate and JJ got me all dolled up, I felt as if they were my two moms, they both made me feel so special.
After we were all finished getting all prettied up, as I like to say, I finally got to put on the dress. Now that I'm realizing it, I sound like this is my wedding day, but, no bride here tonight.
"Hurry up!! We want to see!" Garcia said, standing with all the girls outside my closet door.
"One second, I can't zip it up, can someone come help me?" Garcia flung open the closet doors to reveal me standing there in the dress that they had picked out.
"Oh my lanta you look amazing!" Garcia yelled, as Tara came over to zip up my dress.
"Thank you guys." I said, blushing. I walked over to grab a pair of my heels, slipping them on as I stood in front of the mirror once again.
"I agree with Garcia, you do look good in that dress." Blake said, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Really? You know it might just be too big. The strap keeps falling off, oh well looks like I can't go now." I said, pointing out my fallen dress strap.
"Oh come here Abby." Blake said, tightening my dress strap. "All fixed, and no excuses to not go tonight."
"Abby! Come here, you have to wear this necklace tonight!" Emily said, standing in front of my jewelry box, holding up one of my many necklaces.
"Oh my." I said, realizing that was the necklace that Spencer had bought me when we traveled to New York for my birthday one year.
"How about we choose a different one?" interrupted JJ. She realized too which necklace it was, and was not about to let me wear it.
"This one is perfect." Garcia said as she came behind me, clasping a necklace around my chest. We all stood there in front of my main mirror, taking in the moment.
"Damn, we look good." Kate said, as all the girls stood before my long bathroom mirror, making us all chuckle a bit. I mean she wasn't wrong, we all looked like we were going to take over the world, in style. Oceans 8 type of style.
"Thank you guys. I love you all." I said, looking down at the marble floors that covered my bathroom.
"And we love you too. Now, let's get this party on the road!" Emily cheered as we all followed her out of my room.
"Who's car are we taking?" Kate asked.
"I'll drive, my car will fit us all. Plus, I will be our designated driver for the night." I replied, knowing that if I didn't offer, I would still be driving anyways. The good part is that if they all got too drunk, we could just crash at my place.
